My Safe Refuge

Introduction

My name is Ellie Summers. I am just your regular, typical 21 year old student. There is nothing really spectacular about me. In fact my life is pretty boring at the moment. I'm certainly not a party animal, don't drink or smoke like a lot of my class mates, and for that reason I'm a bit of a "loner" or a "nerd" as I have so often been referred to in the past. 

I live with my older brother Jake who is 26 years old. Jake is a very successful and sought after photographer. Our parents died in a fatal car crash just over two years ago, so it has just been the two of us ever since. Jake and I have always gotten on quite well in the past but we have definitely become each others support system since our parents died.

I am in my final year of college, studying interior design. I have only a couple of weeks left until the big final exams. I have been pouring all my time into my studies so I really hope I get the results I need. I cannot wait to finally start working as an interior designer, it has been my dream since I was 8 years old and more than anything, I know it would have meant everything to my parents for me to fulfill my dream.
