Summer

It makes me feel giddy, I get little tingles on the tip of my fingers. I feel the soft cozy feeling wrap around my shoulders when I think of summer.

I think of the flowers, the birds, and the waterfall that I visit every morning at McNeely Lake.

It was our place.

Me and his place.

The place where we talked for hours in his car and just listened to Arctic Monkeys while watching the orange in the sky disappear into the blue.

The way his long cold fingers traced the scar on my shoulder, the mint in his breath hit my lips, and the sight of his cool blue eyes.

Summer isn't just about him though. Summer is the fairs, the midnight Beckley water fights, the late night car rides, the feeling of waking up next to your best friends after a long night of fun.

You'll never really understand what a summer romance is until you live it yourself. Every teenage girl deserves that one summer of sweet innocent love for another. You'll look back at it and cherish those pure moments of lust and excitement. The kind that makes you hope that they'll be there for the next summer.

Summer is just filled with endless opportunities and adventure. Summer is filled with love.
