Grand Canyon of Tears

The water drips off her hand

The last bit of love leaving her

It falls and falls and falls

Staring as if there is no hope

She watches as her tears form a stream

The stream so strong it erodes the dirt

Leaving a stain in the earth

A stain in her heart

Something not forgotten

But forever permanent

Soon it carved the rock

Shaping a new shape

Creating something beautiful

From every loss there is hope

From every heartbreak there is future

Tears are beautiful

Not dirty

Her tears made their way to the ocean

In the process

it left behind the Grand Canyon
