Ground rules basically: 

We have to have interacted first please! It's really hard to conjure up a backstory between the two without any prior meetings, and I really want you to like it too! If I come up with everything, there's a chance you might've had something different in mind. But how would I know? To avoid all that, just interact!  

I reserve the right to refuse service. If your character and Terry have interacted before, but if I feel like a potential relationship you're putting forth just doesn't click for me, then I don't want to and won't do anything to try and force it happening. Maybe it'll end up clicking given more interaction and muse, but maybe it won't — and that's okay. It's nothing personal.
