Faces gasp at the storm,

translucent, with smiles of wide-eyed tears.

Thunder pumps into the sky

lightning exposes itself for one glorious second.

Some people fear;

others don't call it fear,

that earthquake of the heart, that it's so human to admire.

Shadows dance with long, swinging arms.

Rivers turn red with passion, that beauty

there is, when the age-old earth churns.

But

raindrops

thousands of victims,

are too faint to splash in human ears.

They sail on invisible horses -

the lunar translucence

between humans and sky.

Noble water feeds oceans of grass

and quenches the fire of angry pollen.

Thousands of victims

jump off the edges of skyscrapers,

splash at human feet,

their great roar unheard.
