Avni is widow of Vidyut.....They were married for nearly 1 year.....But he died in a car accident....It was actually a forced marriage....Avni belongs to a half muslim family....Beside that Ashish and Prakash were business rivals.....So they never accepted their relation......Ashish blackmailed Avni to marry Vidyut....having no other way she married him......But she and Neil were in a relationship from college days....Neil knew that Avni and Vidyut never shared a husband wife relationship......After Vidyut's death he again started talking to her.....
