New addition to the family

It was a breezy morning with a bit of sunshine, young little princess Gowon was at the front of the castle, reading a book quietly on the steps.

A woman walked up to the steps Gowon was sitting on. Gowon looked up and saw the woman, she was wearing a long red gown, expensive jewellery with pearls and diamonds and a golden crown with purple coloured crystals on it. There was also a little girl behind her.

'I demand to see Louis Williams!' The woman demanded

'Excuse me miss, but who are you?' Gowon asked in a polite tone

'How dare you speak to me in such a manner? Don't you know that I'm the Queen of the Kingdom of Arcadia?' The woman yelled

Gowon knew she did nothing wrong but apologised anyways, since her father had always taught her to be polite to adults

'I'm very sorry for my lack of knowledge on this matter' she bowed and said 'I'm princess Gowon, the daughter of King Louis Williams and the heir of th-'

Before Gowon could finish, her father came

'Oh Martha! How glad am I to see you!'

They greeted like they were old friends

'Father, is this lady your friend?' Gowon asked out of curiosity but the answer her father gave left her completely speechless.

'No honey, Martha here is moving in with us, she will be your new mother!'

For the first time in her life, Gowon raised her voice and shouted at her father

'How could you do this? How could you do this to mother ! You cannot just have a random woman replace mother! This is ridiculous!!'

Gowon tried not to cry but by the time she reached her room, she was balling her eyes out.

She couldn't believe what her father had done.
