▹ Backstage at the BBMAs | Interview.

Based off ^ interview above. I've made things up, obviously to add to the story. Also, lots of respect to Zach for being so respectful and asking fresh questions.

George was the first one to enter the view of the camera as he greeted the interviewer, Zach with a handshake a bright smile. George remembered Zach from the previous times he had interviewed them and he was looking forward to the fresh questions which Zach always managed to ask. By far, he was one of George's favourites. Seeing the lacking seats, George immediately stood off to the side allowing the others to sit down apart from Jimin who shuffled to stand next to George.

"Are you alright standing?" George muttered to Jimin, "I will literally go steal you a seat if you need one?" Jimin hid his giggle behind his fist and shook his head, patting George on the shoulder as a 'thank you anyway', type of response.

"Alright, come on. I missed you!" Namjoon grinned widely.

"I missed you guys! And like really, thank you. BTS is here backstage at The Billboard Music Awards--"

"We're back."

George grinned at his leader as he flung one arm around Jimin's shoulder, pulling him in close whilst Jimin threw an arm around Jin. The three were huddled together which neither of them minded, George felt a lot more comfortable in the presence of the boys and Zach. George didn't speak often in interviews - despite being fluent in English - he only spoke when it was necessary or when he saw Namjoon struggling with the translations and understanding. George's anxiety did often get the best of him and he was always afraid of saying something that would make him look silly or stupid, therefore, he kept his mouth shut.

However, in interviews with Zach fans caught onto the fact that he did talk quite a lot more confidently and freely which ARMY immediately praised both him and Zach for, as well as other interviewers who had made George feel comfortable. Shuffling on his feet, George removed his gaze from Namjoon and back onto Zach, who began speaking again.

"And like-where do we start here? I'm looking on Twitter and your album for the fourth week in a row is number one on the Billboards Artist 100 charts." Zach leaned forwards to add emphasis to his words which caused a giggle to slip from George's lips. "Four weeks in a row"

"Four weeks in a row," Namjoon repeated.

"Congratulations."

Namjoon turned to translate to the boys, of course, George already understood so he simply just rocked on his feet after muttering a tiny, shy, 'thank you'. After gaining the translation, Hoseok began dancing - which wasn't a surprise to George - and Jimin leaned towards the camera, shooting finger hearts before standing back beside him. George chuckled under his breath causing Jimin's smile to even widen. He loved making George laugh. He was so distracted by Jimin that he hadn't even noticed that Namjoon and Zach began talking again.

"-what story are you trying to tell with Map Of Your Soul: Persona?"

George made a face of approval at the question, sending a nod in Zach's direction. He always managed to ask questions which they hadn't heard before - or at least ones that hadn't been repeated about 8899389238274878 times and that's what drew George in when he first ever got the chance to interview them. There had been many memes of George's surprise throughout their first interview, because of how surprised he seemed or how relieved he looked whenever a new question got asked that he hadn't heard before.

"Okay so, after Love Yourself - um - it's gonna be a little bit of a long story, so please understand--"

"No it's okay, I've got time."

Namjoon was quick to translate before turning to George requesting for his help in translating. George nodded whilst Jimin slapped his back, earning an eye roll from George. Namjoon went on to explain the story whilst George's offered hushed translations to the boys so that he wasn't talking over Namjoon but instead in a quieter tone but so the others could hear him. Namjoon finished off and George took a breath earning a giggle from Jungkook. George shot him a playful wink in return.

"And, you talk about things getting so much bigger, an important time for you to release an album like Map Of Your Soul because when there' so much going on around you it's in those moments that you need to remind yourself who you are and figure it out because we're all young right?" George nodded in agreement. "We're evolving everyday."

"What motivates you? What keeps you guys going?"

George immediately jumped in to translate sending a wink towards Namjoon who laughed in response. Immediately, Yoongi lifted the mic up to his lips.

"He said yeah the ARMYs. I mean, it sounds all the same but BTS equal ARMY and you know that's the biggest motivation. So, for this main single, Boy With Luv with Hasley, we're talking about-we're curious about you guys, your little things, your love, that's what we're talking about." Namjoon passed the mic to George with an assuring nod. George took a deep breath as he lifted it up to his lips.

"We want to make them proud. We push ourselves to the limit to make them proud of what we have achieved for them and for ourselves, they bring out the best in us and we have such an unbreakable bond with them, it's really amazing," George explained with a tired smile passing the mic back to Namjoon. Hoseok reached out and rested a hand on his shoulder, squeezing it with a proud smile.

"It's a hit record, congratulations." Numerous 'thank yous' went around the group before Zach continued. "I love Ashley very much, Halsey is a beautiful person. Inside and out, what did you learn from that experience?"

That I have a massive crush on Halsey. George kept the thought to himself and instead turned to look towards the ground with a soft smile. He heard Taehyung call out the word positive, to which he nodded in agreement. Namjoon turned to look at George, urging him to say something again. Mentally, he scolded his leader but he took the mic anyway.

"She's a very talented woman who deserves all the success she has achieved. She's a hard worker and full of positivity as Taehyung said. And it was a real honour to work with someone so nice and understanding." He thrust the mic back towards Namjoon with a tight smile earning many laughs all around.

"We were quite afraid because except for me and George, no one could really speak English so well and we're like, we're nervous and afraid of working with artists from abroad, we're like always afraid 'cause like, we can't even meet easily. But this time we shot a video and we're gonna do a performance together tomorrow, so it's special and different. But you know, Halsey was special because she practised so hard for this choreography 'cause it whole new challenge for her too and her words and her gifts and you know her faces for us was like uh--it was like a true collaboration. It's what we call cooperation and collaboration."

"And that's what makes it so special because it was the first time that you worked with an American artist that you really got to know and talk to--" George shared a smile with Taehyung as Namjoon spoke up, adding to the sentence. It was really refreshing to see just how interested an interviewer was. "You felt each other's energy!"

"Yeah! We just met at this BBMAs like two years ago and we were like friends. We were like 'I watch your music videos, I love your voice, okay we're friends', and that's it after two years it happened and boom!"

George's attention was slowly running out and he was getting distracted easily, which happened often since he had a very short attention span. He started off by fiddling with the end of Jimin's jacket, he then began to glance around, falling into a trance as he stared off to the side having to be brought back to reality by Jin who slapped him. He then decided that he would piss off Jimin, waiting until nobody was looking he'd flick Jimin's ear.

The interview finally came to a close and once the camera had stopped rolling, Jimin turned around to slap George's shoulder, scolding him for being so distracting towards the end of the interview, however, George only responded with a shrug as he skipped off to get some food. Jimin rolled his eyes.

"What an actual brat."
