George's Top 5 Most Talked About Scandals.

— SCANDAL ONE; George being rude towards EXO. 

This scandal went viral in mid-2018 after George was accused of 'sulking' throughout EXO's performance. The idol was said to have made numerous distasteful facial expressions throughout the performance. Many claims that he was slumped in his seat looking extremely irritated by his surroundings, this did not go down well with EXO-ls and George received a great amount of backlash and a rumour began to circulate the internet. Many fans accused George of having some kind of beef with EXO's Park Chanyeol because they used to hang out quite frequently and were very close friends, however, suddenly they stopped being seen together which lead to fans believing that something had gone down between them.

The rumour was cleared up by George and Chanyeol themselves. Chanyeol claimed that the two are still extremely close friends and they talk daily, however, their schedules got packed quite quickly and they found it hard to hang out. 

George then cleared up the rumour of him being moody throughout EXO's statement. He defended himself by stating that he simply wasn't feeling well during that show and had an increasing headache, he stated that he had to leave halfway through the show after throwing up. ARMY proved his statement by showing numerous videos of the BTS boys during other performances where George was seen absent and some of where George genuinely looked like he was in pain. During BTS' performance, George was said to have stumbled multiple times and George did apologize to EXO for his facial expressions.

— SCANDAL TWO; Removed from BTS.

In 2017 fans were left worried after a number of articles came out about George being removed from the group. The rumours stemmed from the fact that George hadn't been seen in any performances, nor had he been seen out with the boys or even involved in any Vlives that they held. It was like he had completely vanished and quite quickly rumours began to spread to the point where there were protests for George to be brought back into the group. 

The fans were left in the dark until three days after the controversy when Jimin assured the fans in his VLive that George was still in the group and he was fine. George then appeared in the back of the live and Jimin explained that he had been removed temporarily due to issues with his mental health that needed to be solved. Nobody understood why BigHit didn't explain that until Jungkook later explained that George didn't want the whole world knowing that he was in a bad place and needed some help. 

To this day, nobody really knows just how dark his mental health had gotten in that time, but everyone agreed that if even BigHit decided that he couldn't be apart of anything then it was definitely something serious and the fans should just support him and respect the privacy he had requested.

— SCANDAL THREE; George's relationship with Hwasa. 

Well, needless to say, this didn't go down well. George and Hwasa were rumoured to be in a relationship at the end of 2018 after they were spotted leaving and returning from the bathroom together. Fans then speculated further when George was seen looking at Hwasa numerous times throughout multiple shows. Things got even more suspicious when Hwasa was spotted wearing a ring that was similar to the one George had been seen wearing just days before. In the back of one of Hwasa's lives, ARMY spotted a hoodie hanging over the back of the chair and claimed that he looked a lot like one they had seen George wearing on multiple occasions. 

When George was asked about his relationship status in a later interview he claimed that he was completely single and ARMY had his heart, which put many fans at ease, though the evidence did seem like too much for some to believe him. There has been no further comment on the 'relationship' and many do believe that they are dating in secret or at least they did.

— SCANDAL FOUR; George's fight. 

George was in a lot of trouble with ARMY and his company after he was arrested due to a fight that took place in 2016. Many articles responded frowning upon George's actions until the truth actually came out two days later when BigHit put out an official statement as well as the police who confirmed everything in which BigHit had said regarding the reasoning behind George's fight. 

It was confirmed that George was simply protecting a girl - who was highly intoxicated -from a man who was being extremely rough and pulling her around despite her protests. George claimed that she had bruises all over her body from the number of times she had fallen since he was pulling her harshly. The girl claimed that she had no idea who the man was and her friend - who George had to call later - confirmed that the man was somebody who kept bothering her. 

George wasn't there to fight the man, he simply tried to resolve the issue calmly until the man ended up physically hurting the girl and George stepped in. Everything was taken out of context by the media and George was only able to clear his name three days later.

In February of 2019, George was put through an uncomfortable situation when a fan ended up running on stage. Somehow, the girl managed to get through security and jumped on stage. She was seemingly going crazy and managed to grab a hold of George who tried to respectfully tried to calm her down. Before security could grab her, she grabbed George's face and kissed him for a brief second before she was ripped away by security. 

George did go back on to perform like nothing happened however, fans noticed that he seemed very upset and obviously violated. Many praised the way he handled the girl with care despite her actions and many applauded him for the way he carried on with the show. George was said to have been very disturbed backstage but he didn't want to worry fans during the show. The girl who ran on stage was scrutinised by Kpop fans all over and she had to delete her Twitter account after she posted numerous things about her kiss with George.
