Between the lies you curl up
And it feels like the vines confine you
While the thorns sink deeper in your fleshBut you cannot vent to anyone
The anxiety is too overwhelming
Since you might get hurt in the endYou try to avoid speaking
So you don't make any mistakes
But that is letting you condition only deteriorateThe thoughts circle in your brain
And all you want to do is scream
All you want is someone to confide inBut even thought you might be a special snowflake
You are still valid
And there are people who understand youYou might feel left out
On this smorgasbord of ideas
But yours is right thereOn the spectrum you are welcomed
No matter who you like or not
Every way is tangibleAnd everyone here knows it's unfeasible
To admit you are what you are
And to come out of that comfy closetMaybe you have to wait to be safe
Safe from abusive people
Or safe that this is the truth about yourselfBut when you grab the hand of another
Another one on the spectrum
Or maybe even from your significant otherThere is a community to welcome you
There is your place in the world
Where you can be youAnd when you finally arrived there
You do not have to worry anymore
You do not have to hide yourself anymoreThen the dim world right now
Will get brighter
And it will be more vibrant than before
