Admitting

Between the lies you curl up
And it feels like the vines confine you
While the thorns sink deeper in your flesh

But you cannot vent to anyone
The anxiety is too overwhelming
Since you might get hurt in the end

You try to avoid speaking
So you don't make any mistakes
But that is letting you condition only deteriorate

The thoughts circle in your brain
And all you want to do is scream
All you want is someone to confide in

But even thought you might be a special snowflake
You are still valid
And there are people who understand you

You might feel left out
On this smorgasbord of ideas
But yours is right there

On the spectrum you are welcomed
No matter who you like or not
Every way is tangible

And everyone here knows it's unfeasible
To admit you are what you are
And to come out of that comfy closet

Maybe you have to wait to be safe
Safe from abusive people
Or safe that this is the truth about yourself

But when you grab the hand of another
Another one on the spectrum
Or maybe even from your significant other

There is a community to welcome you
There is your place in the world
Where you can be you

And when you finally arrived there
You do not have to worry anymore
You do not have to hide yourself anymore

Then the dim world right now
Will get brighter
And it will be more vibrant than before
