I, Alice McNeely, am about to die. I lay on the ground in the middle of the woods, Slowly fading into nothingness. I see a bright light and think "This must be it.". I close my eyes. I hear shoes racing through the mud towards me. "ALICE!!!" The disembodied voice of Damien screams for me. I feel him scoop me up. "Open your eyes please. Alice please." He sobs. I flutter my eyes open for the last time. I look into his deep brown eyes. "Stay with me Alice. I'm sorry I always took you for granted. I'm sorry I only ever saw you as a friend. All of this has opened up my eyes. It's always been you. Please stay with me." He cries. I grab the side of his face with my cold hand. He climbs in the backseat of his truck with me. He holds me in his arms so close to his chest I can his heart beating rapidly. "Step on it Brendon." Cayte was in the passenger side and Dana was squeezed in between them. I close my eyes again. "Stay with us Alice." He cries.
