° The one where
lily goes to chicago

                    The flight to chicago was uneventful to say the least, besides the fact that lily and david were completely ignoring the fact that they almost kissed a week ago— it was quite fine.

David— along with lily, natalie, corinna, jason and trisha were on their way to chicago to spend some time with some of david's chicago friends. Along with the fact that david's friend, reggie was planning to come out to his parents and him being the supportive friend that he is wanted to support him. When david invited lily to come she was both excited and nervous at going.

One, she was excited for she have always wanted to meet the rest of david's hometown friends besides natalie. She was excited to meet ilya whom she have previously talked to over sa facetime call with david and to say that the guy was a crackhead was a slight understatement but she liked ilya, she thought he was adorable and funny— she also wanted to meet dima and the other alex and basically all of them.

two, she was nervous for she knew the minute she steps foot on vernon hills, david would drag and force her to meet his parents and his siblings— maybe not as his girlfriend but as his best friend but still lily alvares was nervous as hell to meet the rest of the dobrik family.

"who's house is this again?" lily asked playing with her fingers as she sat in the passenger seat of the car that david took from his childhood home.

"reggie" david said looking over at his best friend as he drove who looked nervous "are you okay?" he chuckled a bit

the alvares girl nodded her head and hummed but david wasn't convinced "are you sure, cause you look like shit"

lily gave a sarcastic smile "gee dave, way to make a girl feel great"

jason and trisha along with natalie and corinna laughed from the back seat "she's nervous to meet them" corinna piped from behind as the alvares girl glared at her through the rearview mirror

"you're nervous to meet the gang? you've talked to them before" david chuckled and pulled over in front of what lily assumed was reggie and john's house

"she's not nervous to meet the gang, she's nervous to meet your family" jason said earning a hard slap on his knee by the alvares girl as trisha laughed

david's face formed an 'oh' he was about to say something when he saw lily shooting him daggers so the dobrik boy opted to shut his mouth, they all exited the vehicle and greeted by cheers and david was tackled by a screaming ilya and soon they were on the ground

they all soon greeted each other with natalie reuniting with her childhood friends and corinna whom have known david the longest also reunited with the vernon hills gang as did jason and trisha

lily standed on the side not wanting to interrupt the reuinons and waited for someone to talk to her or something and that's when she felt someone touch her arm and she turned to see reggie smiling at her "hey don't be a stranger over there! so nice to finally meet you" he said as he engulfed the 22 year old in a warm hug— the alvares girl giggled and returned the gesture happily

she loved reggie, from all the stories she heard from dave and natalie she thought reggie was a cool person also because one, he was gay and who doesn't love a gay person they're rad and two, reggie also had filipino blood and as everybody knows lily was born in the philippines and spent some years of her childhood in the ph and therefore they would definitely bond over that.
