Jess's pov
"I hate you you little shit" my mother kept repeating "you are no longer welcome here you bitch get out now!!" My mom then added I ran upstairs crying, ever since my dad left my mom was taking shit out on me and I can't take it, I'm gonna do as she asks and leave, I texted my older brother Cameron who is a part time drag queen which is another thing my mom hates but I support it all the way I'm so proud of him
"Hey cam, can you pick me up please" I said
"Yeah hunny, what's happened" Cameron says
"It's mom 😭" I added
"Say no more I'm coming xx" he says

I packed the rest of my stuff and went down stairs to see my mom there I took one look at her and she pushed me and I hit my face on the corner of the door
I dropped all my things and wailed out in pain "your a mistake, I hate you I've always hated you" she said to me, yeah when I hit my head on the door that shit hurt but not as much as that, I felt blood from my lip dripping down my chin, as I passed the mirror we had in the hall I noticed my eye was all swollen all of a sudden my mom punched me and kicked me while I was down I grabbed her leg and tripped her up and made a run, well limp for it

I got to the end of my street, bare in mind it's raining and I see my brothers car pull up he looked at me and autocorrect started crying "baby girl what happened?" He asked while rushing out of his car and pulling my head into his chest, I just cried I couldn't find the words to say anything other than "I was scared" he helped me into the car and got in the other side and drove off, he was holding my hand and told me 'I didn't have to worry anymore' and 'he'd make sure she never comes close to me again' I was still crying

We got back to Cameron's place and he being the best brother anyone could ask for unpacked my things, I was sat on the sofa, shaking became of what went on he sat next to me we looked at each other for a split second and we both broke down we held each other "I'm so so sorry I wasn't there" Cameron said "it's not your fault babes, it's fine, I'm fine now" I said while wiping away his tears "it's not ok sweetie, you must of been so scared" he said with a pout running his fingers through my hair, "I was, but it's fine now cammy, I'm with you now, and you mean the world to me and I love you so much" I said while resting my head on his chest "I love you too boo" he replied while resting his chin on my head, we both fell asleep on the sofa, but it was ok I was in my big brothers arms, I felt protective and I felt safe for once
