As the rebel fleet of the Phoenix squadron is growing in size, the demand for supplies increases by the week. So Commander Sato orders the Phoenix on two supply runs, the first one was put in last minute after a recent report, to extract as much medical and food supplies as possible.
Sabine: *knocks on Ezra's door* Ezra: come in. Sabine: Ezra, Commander Sato and Rex just called us for an emergency meeting. Attendance is mandatory by the sounds of things. Ezra: ok I'm coming.
They both set off towards the meeting point, where everyone was just arriving.
Zeb: you two took your time. Sabine: I was only a minute. Zeb: you sure about that? Ezra: quite Zeb. Sato: you might be wondering why me and Captain Rex called you out here. Rex: we recently intercepted a destress call from a star destroyer which was attacked by a rebel group, which are unknown to us at this time. It's largely empty by the information we gathered, and it's immobilized. Sato: the star destroyer will contain a lot of valuable supplies we need. You have a limited time window, but if we can figure out a plan now then you will have time to make the supply run. Hera: yeah. The problem is, what plan for we have. Rex: that's why we called you here. Kanan: you said it was mostly empty? Rex: yes, most were super out due to the attack. Kanan: how's this then. We go in, scan the ship and take out all the remaining imperials. Sabine: to minimize the chances of being fired on, and to allow us to retrieve the supplies! Kanan: exactly. Ezra: we'll have to be quick, the ship is pretty big. Zeb: not to mention the number of supplies the star destroyer Carries. Sabine: well once we take out all the imperials, we can focus all our attention towards the supplies. Hera: good idea Sabine. Sato: are you now familiar? Zeb: we should be. Rex: Commander Sato suggested that I go too, but we've infiltrated a few star destroyers in the past. Zeb: most recently saving thrill seeker over here. Ezra: please don't remind me again. Rex: so this shouldn't be too much of a challenge. Kanan: we can handle it. Hera: do you have the coordinates of the star destroyer? Sato: yes, I will send them to your ships console now. I'm also going to supply you with reinforcements, they've been personality trained after your recent incident Bridger. They're some of our finest soldiers, and will serve you well. Sabine: no way, it's not who I think it is...Is it? Rex: they'll meet you before you set off. Kanan: you heard him. Prep for an out.
As the Phoenix got ready for their supply run, Rex had a quick chat with Sato on how many supply runs the Phoenix should make.
Rex: Commander? Do we have an idea on the number of supplies we need? Sato: it's enough to last a few days, but I'm thinking if the Phoenix are successful in bringing back most of the ships supplies, then mabey one more will do the trick. Rex: right ok, that makes sense now. They'll handle it, they've got every advantage. As long as they keep an eye on time, they'll be just fine.
Around a few minutes after their conversation, the Phoenix we're ready.
Hera: Commander we're ready for our supply run. Rex: we'll keep you informed on any more intercepted transmissions. Keep your com links on. Kanan: Roger. Let's go the sooner we get this sorted the better, as the fleet needs it. Hera: we'll let you know when we arrive. Sato: good luck Hera...just in time, here are your reinforcements. The new ghost guardians: Guardian Alpha, Guardian Beta and Guardian Gamma.
Alpha: good to see you again Phoenix. Beta: sorry we took our time, our training program was a bit longer than we thought. Hera: no worries, it's Soo glad to have you along. Gamma: and Ezra, it's good to see you've shrugged off your 'injury'. Ezra: thanks, I think we're all glad to have you after the help you three gave us. Alpha: thanks, that means a lot.
All three guards wore thick armour plating on their legs, like Sabine does, as well as their arms. They also wore utility belts and, had com links on their belts. They carried an A-280 assault rifle and a DL-44 pistol each.
Sabine: I feel a bit more comfortable having reinforcements. Sato: they are your personal guards, and you can ask for their assistance whenever you like. Kanan: appreciate it Commander. Sato: anytime Phoenix. Now, let's begin shall we. Hera: yes, come on all of you.
The crew then board the ghost, ready for the mission.
Ezra: you ready Sabine? Sabine: are you ready for yet another mission alive? Ezra: please don't, I'm still a bit edgy...even though I don't show it. Kanan: you'll be fine Ezra, you've done really well to shake that off. In the previous missions we've been on after that, it felt like nothing ever happened. Ezra: thanks. I'll try not to get dead. Zeb: I'd rather not carry your body around... Gamma: I don't think you will Zeb, this mission won't be too difficult.
Once the crew is aboard, they leave attolon for their first supply run out of potentially 2.
Rex: best of luck you lot. Hera: thanks Rex, we'll see you soon. Ezra: hopefully in one piece.
*Ghost jumps into hyperspace*
A relatively short chapter, but it details the beginning of this story. Also the ghost guardians were my idea, I thought it would be cool to give them a name and they're now officially bodyguards of the ghost crew 😁 the name isn't amazing, but it doesn't need to be. You'll see a lot more of them throughout the SWR AU 👌
Some details on the 3 Phoenix guardians: Guardian Alpha is the commander of the three, and they would look something along the lines of this:

But for the 3 guardians they don't wear the helmets, the colour of their uniforms would be a dark orange. They would have extra armour plating on their knees & shins, while having their symbols on their right shoulder pads (the letters Alpha, Beta & Gamma). 2 of them are males, Alpha & Gamma, and one is female, Beta. And their ages: alpha - 24, Beta - 23, Gamma - 21. And they are skilled in a few aspects of the rebellion (such as combat, analysis and technical).
Their other appearances: all three of them have fair skin tones. Alpha has shortish black hair. Beta has brown hair (similar in length to Sabine's hair) and Gamma also has brown hair, bit longer than Ezra's. Finally, in 'Hope: a SWR story' soldier #1 is Alpa, soldier #2 is Beta and soldier #3 is Gamma.
So I hope that helps a bit in terms of these three characters. 😁 And you'll be seeing them more often.
