[Chapter three: Holly, Jolly]

THE SUN SHONE brightly onto m/n's face, at some point it began to sting a bit.

He winced and opened his eyes, beginning to rub them. M/n and Gabe slept on the couch in the living room because they didn't want to be a bother.

Gabe was already up, and apparently Jonathan came home late last night. He didn't remember seeing him last night, so he must've came when they were sleeping.

M/n looked through his bag for clothes. He pulled out a an outfit and wore the same converse from yesterday since those were the only pair he was wearing.

M/n sighed when he remembered that today was his first day at school.

"Morning bud." He heard a voice from behind him as he put on his pants, that were a bit torn on the knee because of him falling on them.

"Morning Gabe." M/n smiled at him. Gabe ruffled his hair and sat down on the couch.

He sighed and looked up. "New school." He began before grinning at the ceiling. "Hawkins." He said quietly.

M/n had already gotten his shirt on. "Hey, I'm gonna go. I'll see you later." He nodded and they both said our goodbyes.

"Tell Ms. Byers that I left for school and that I said good morning.!" M/n whisper shouted before closing the door and grabbing his bike.

He rode all the way to a building crowding with kids. 'Hawkins Middle School kids drop off' a sign read. He peddle faster and stopped when the bike rack came in view.

M/n got off his bike and put it on the bike rack. He ran through the doors and went to the front office.

"Hello um. Good morning, I'm M/n L/n? I'm looking for my schedule..?" He asked politely, but a little awkwardly. He's never been good at conversations, even if he's not the one starting it.

The lady smiled and nodded before giving him the schedule. "Welcome to Hawkins Middle!" She exclaimed. M/n waved and walked out.

'okay let's see.. Mr. Clarke? Wasn't he Gabe's science teacher aswell?' M/n got a bit excited since Gabe would always tell him that Mr.Clarke was the best science teacher, his topics were always interesting and he taught in an interesting way.

He stopped at his locker to put some things that made his backpack heavy.

M/n shut his locker and sighed. He turned around when he felt a tap. Principal Coleman stood there with a small grin on his face.

"Hey there kiddo, nice to see the L/n's are back in town." He chuckled softly. "I'll lead you to your class cmon." He softly put his hand on his back as he led them towards Mr. Clarke's classroom.

"How's Gabe doing? Haven't seen him in a while, has he grown any taller?" He kept questioning. By the sounds of it Gabe was on his 'favorite student' list.

They talked for a while, it only lasted for about 3 minutes and we were in front of Mr.Clarke's room.

"Ready?" He smiled again.
