°The one where
they go on a date

pt ii.

              Later that night lily decided to start getting for her date with david— although this really isn't the first time her and the dobrik boy have gone out with just the two of two them, to her it still feels a little different considering their relationship is different now and it's more special— meaning she actually has to put effort on what she looks like and whe would wear unlike before wherein she doesn't really give a shit because it's only david but now really has to give a shit because  it's david

So after trying on almost every article of clothing she has over at david's she settled on something casual as usual—when evening came her and david left the house and drove of to some restaurant in down town la, trying their best to not look and act like a couple to the public but just two best friends having dinner "This feels so weird" the alvares girl said as they sat down on their table

"what does?"

"this— like we've done this before and it was just nothing, i didn't think much about it but now i feel like i gotta think every step i make before i make it because it feels like everybody's watching us" she chuckled lightly as her sentence drifted off

the dobrik boy nodded in thought agreeing with lily but not wanting to think much about it "just look at me and pretend like it's just the two of us.." he grinned

"you look beautiful by the way" he commented making the alvares girl blush and shake her head "i always dress like this dave, what you talkin' about"

His tongue poked between his teeth as he admired the beauty sitting in front of him "just felt like i needed to say that— every great boyfriend says that on a date"— lily rolled her eyes while carrying a huge smile on her face

"since when did you become so cheesy, dobrik?"

the dobrik boy chuckled "only for you alvares"

The evening panned out gracefully for david and lily, the two couldn't stop smiling at each other and telling stories to each other as if it was a first date and that was the first time they met — feeling so giddy everytime the other was sharing something they don't know yet but at the same time having that feeling of comfort and safeness with the other's company. They knew they definitely have gotten some looks from people that recognize them and have felt flashes from people snapping pictures at them but for some reason the alvares girl didn't worry about it at all for just like what david said in the beginning of the night— she pretended that it was just two of them in their little world and no one else.

on their drive home david never once let go of lily's hand— enjoying the comfort it gave way too much for him to let go.

When they finally reached the turn to david's driveway david was dissapointed again when he saw some 'fans' sitting outside his house and some standing by their cars— it obviously made the alvares girl uncomfortable and scared which is also one of the reasons david gets so frustrated with them. He got natalie to open the gate and he parked in his driveway not paying attention to any of the people standing outside his home at nearly 12 midnight.

"You should really get security dave" lily said as she stepped through the front door and layed down on the couch

the dobrik boy sighed and nodded "yeah. im really sorry about that i know how much it makes you uncomfortable"
