Chapter 7: Dating?

(Y/n's POV)

It was about 10 o'clock, and we were all hanging out in the living room as some movie was playing on the TV. But I wasn't paying attention to the poor quality action film. My eyes were glued on him. I just couldn't take my eyes off of him.

Even though his hair was greased back, a small part hadn't been slicked back with the rest. A soft dark brown wavy curl brushed against his forehead. God I wonder what it would be like if he didn't grease back his hair... Running my fingers through his soft curls would be-

"HEY!"

That snapped me out of my trance. I look up as Two-Bit is running  with the remote in his hand from a very angry Steve.

"Give it back, Two-Bit!" Steve yelled.

"Aw c'mon, Steve-o! I just wanted to turn on some cartoons!" Two-Bit yelled in a childish tone that I couldn't help but giggle at. The whole gang was just watching them go around and around the living room until finally Steve stopped chasing Two-Bit.

"Alright..." He was really out of breath. "You can have it."

"Yay!" Two-Bit excitedly said.

Ponyboy sighed and rolled his eyes followed by a laugh. Then, Johnny put his arm around my shoulders as I shivered under his touch. We locked eyes for a few seconds.

Damnit.

I felt the heat rise to my face.

I felt myself lean into his side. I was comfortable. He glanced down at me and I had a feeling that he was grinning like an idiot. I finally give in and rest my head on his shoulder. I wish that I could stay like this forever. My eyelids started getting heavy, and I finally drifted away...

Time skip-

I once again had the familiar feeling of waking up with warm arms wrapped around me. God, I need to stop finding myself in these situations. I felt his breath on my neck on a slow and steady pace. His chest was pressed up against my back, and I didn't want to open my eyes. I wanted to enjoy this moment.

"Awww!!"

My eyes shot open, but I didn't dare move a muscle because I'd wake up Johnny. And what I saw before me, I will never forget. Soda, Darry, and Ponyboy stood just a few inches away.

I felt Johnny stir beside me, and then I sat up as we both yawned.

"What are you doing, guys?" I asked.

"You guys are so adorable." Darry said. What a mom.

Then Johnny and I looked at eachother and grinned. It took all of my willpower to not fall on Johnny and wrap him in a huge hug as we fell back asleep. But unfortunately, we both got up.

"Where did the rest of the gang go?"

"Oh they all left as soon as you guys fell asleep because they didn't want to wake you guys up."

Is it weird that I felt appreciated? I don't know.

"We already made breakfast for you guys."

"Thanks guys. You really didn't have to do that," I heard Johnny say.

"No problem. You guys are family, after all."

We all sat down and started to eat the scrambled eggs, bacon, and toast that the Curtis brothers had fixed.

"Well," Ponyboy started. "We have something to say."

"The whole gang kinda discussed this and...well..." Sodapop had continued.

"What we're trying to say is that we don't want to impose on your personal lives and force you to do something you don't really wanna do," Darry explained.

I looked over at Johnny, his expression as confused as mine.

"Guys, what's going on?" I finally asked.

"Well, we think it would be really good for you guys if you, you know... became a thing?" said Pony.

I dropped my fork.

hey guys I know I disappeared for a while and I'm so sorry!!! I know I've said that I wanted to get back into writing lately but I haven't had motivation like at all. sorry this was so short, I just wanted to get something out lol. I'm hopefully gonna be more active and update as soon as possible!! please bare with me :)
