Kaliyah grew up as a peasant in a village where the local leaders of Torrence ruled. She lost her father at eleven and her mother at sixteen. They both died from starvation & fatigue because their nation's leader withheld the distribution of food. Kaliyah takes up the responsibly of raising her little sister. However, once her sister dies from starvation, Kaliyah leads an uprising to eliminate the leader of Torrence. She taught townspeople how to use their farming tools as weapons. With the help of members within her village, Kaliyah was successful. However, this meant she had committed murder — a crime that was often punishable by death. She comes to the conclusion that she must kill the high family, king and queen for all land, in order to escape her death and the death of others involved. The book would revolve around her journey to kill the high king and queen.
*There is an opportunity for a sequel. After Kaliyah kills the leaders, she could take over their position.
