Naruto: Will of Fire

Chapter 1: A New Start

Naruto Uzumaki was a blond-haired 5-year-old orphaned boy and he was just like everyone else, well other than the fact that he's hated, bullied, beaten ( on occasion ), mistreated and so many other things. Though that doesn't stop the blond-haired boy from smiling, and even though everyone thinks he's clueless, dumb, stupid, ignorant, naive and so much more, he's not. He's actually quite smart for his age, though he doesn't have the IQ of a Nara or the Hokage. He does have a special kind of smart, he's the sponge type. What I mean to say is that he absorbs and understands knowledge like a sponge. He understands basically anything as long as you teach him correctly and not like some of the academy instructors will try to do in a couple of years. Currently, we find our blond ray of sunshine running away from a mob of civilians and a couple of retired shinobi, as today was October 10th, his 5th birthday, and the day when the mobs were the worst. As he was running away he saw a couple of what looked like either genin or chunin join the group in the pursuit to hurt the so-called "demon". Yes, he knew what they called him behind his back and though he didn't know why he knew it couldn't have been his fault as he would have definitely remembered doing something as bad as what they've accused him of. As he ran as fast as his little legs could carry him he made a sharp right turn down an alleyway only to see it was a dead-end, turning around to try and escape, it was too late as the mob had already reached him and had started to slowly back him into a corner. Seeing there was no way out, naruto accepted his fate and decided the next best thing to do was to do his best at defending himself. As the mob started and continued to attack he quickly realized the trouble he was in after looking at the many bruises and scratches he already had. So, he ran, no bolted for an escape only to be hit with a kunai from a ninja in the top part of his right shoulder. Crying out in pain he slowly and weakly backed up to the wall he was originally at while the mob stayed in place and decided that throwing sharp things at a distance hurt him more. And then it happened, he saw a kunai from a ninja coming right at him, specifically the head. As the kunai continued to come on its path toward him, he saw it start to slow down, what that couldn't be right.

' what that can't be right, it looks like it's... slowing down?!?' thought naruto

Unknown to him, the reason it had slowed down was because he just had activated the Sharingan!!!

With one tomoe in each eye, he was able to somehow dodge the incoming projectile and jump out of the way, before he saw another one coming and realized he couldn't dodge.

Covering his face with his hands and balling up he saw what looked like an Uchiha jump in front of him and deflect the kunai, and then knock everyone out.

Then, what looked like a 10 or almost 11-year-old, the boy turned around and looked at naruto.

" Are you ok, di... the...Sharingan?!?!?"  the boy exclaimed surprised to see the red eyes with one black tomoe in each

" Sharingan?" naruto was able to get out before he blacked out.

" But...how," thought the boy before deciding on picking up the boy and bringing him to the Hokage

-with the Hokage-

Getting a Knock on the door the Hokage yelled enter and in walked the Uchiha prodigy with naruto.

"Itachi? What are you d-... is that Naruto, Why is he here?" Hiruzen asked

" Hokage-sama, I found Naruto in an alleyway being beaten when I heard a scream and decided to investigate. Though that's not why I'm specifically here, If you don't mind I'd like to talk in private." Itachi Explained

Hiruzen nodded and sent the anbu out than set up a silencing seal.

" Now what is it that you need Itachi?" The Hokage asked

" Naruto, he...he has the Sharingan," Itachi said still unbelieving himself

Hirusen didn't know what to think. How, how could Naruto UZUMAKI ( Namikaze ) have the Sharingan, it made no sense...Unless. A thought pledged Hiruzen's mind, it made sense in theory on how it could've happened, but still, it was hard to believe. He could either tell Itachi or keep it a secret. On one hand, if he decided not to tell Itachi he may lose some trust in Itachi and he may become curious and ask around, specifically his clan. While on the other hand, if he tells Itachi the truth then he would probably be willing to keep it a secret and since naruto will need training involving the Sharingan, who better to teach him than the Uchiha prodigy himself. Plus since Itachi doesn't see naruto as a monster but just as a child with a big burden then he'll probably grow close to the blond. Then it's decided...

"Itachi, I'm going to tell you the full truth of naruto, and how he has the Sharingan. First, let me start with what you probably know. Naruto Uzumaki is actually Naruto Uzumaki-Namikaze and is the son of the 4th Hokage, Minato Namikaze, and the Red Hot-Blooded Habanero, Kushina Uzumaki. You also know that Naruto is the Jinchuriki of the nine-tailed fox, the Kyuubi. What you don't know is that naruto technically has two mothers rather than just one, and before you decide to start asking questions let me explain. When Kushina and Minato were trying to have a baby they realized that they couldn't because of something being wrong with Kushina so, Your mother and Kushinas best friend Mikoto donated an egg which then was put into Kushina allowing Her to get pregnant with Minato, But Fugake nor anyone else was informed except for Minato, Obvisoly Kushina, Mikoto, Kakashi Hatake, and I. Furthermore as you can guess Mikoto was never informed of naruto surviving and naruto was put in the orphanage under one of Minato's last wish before he died. Though now that naruto has activated the Sharingan he'll need someone to teach him how to use it and I think I already know who to do it." Hiruzen finished smirking

"Me?" Itachi answered surprised that he would possibly train his now young half brother.

" yes, you are in my opinion the person most suited for training the young blond. The reason is that your one of the few Uchiha who I completely trust and have faith in, furthermore you're young just like naruto and you two only have a five-year difference in age. So, I'd like you to secretly train the young blond. I'll even give you and the gaki my secret training field to use, and I, of course, will also help in training."  Hiruzen offered

" ...ok, I'll do it, but what about kaa-San  ( Mikoto )? Will I be able to tell her that naruto is alive?" Itachi asked

" Maybe one day but not right now, naruto needs to make that decision himself. We'll inform him of her a year from now on his 6th birthday, For now, though let's focus on training." Hiruzen answered and they agreed

This was the start of a legend.
