I'll love again (Steven x Spinel fanfic)

Chapter 1

Steven woke up from a terrible nightmare, his breathing was heavy and he was in a cold sweat. He stopped once he realized that it was only a dream "Why are these dreams so terrifying?" He asked himself. He looked at his phone. It was 10:00 already "Woah, I slept for awhile.." he then looked at the millions of texts from Connie "Oh shit!-" he got up and got dressed before dashing outside and running to Connie "Sorry I-" she grabbed his shirt "Was late? Well I don't care!" She slapped him "I told you to be here at 9:00 sharp! And when did you come?" He sighed "10:01.." she slapped him again, harder this time "Next time it happens we are breaking up! Now goodBYE!" she said stubbornly before walking away. Once she was far enough from him he sighed "Gonna have to tell her one day Universe.." he sighed and walked inside, the gems were in the temple so he thought "Maybe I'll go see Spinel.." he said before going onto the warpad and going to the diamonds Castle. Once he was inside Spinel ran to him and gave him a big hug "Steven your here!" He blushed a little realizing how close she was "Yep!" She smiled "But it's only Monday.." he smiled and chuckled "I know I just- I've kinda had a bad morning and I really missed you. Plus, you always make me happy.." she blushed and giggled "That's very sweet of you to say Steven.." he blushed a little more and smiled "Thank you Spinel! So where would you like to hangout?" She smiled "Do you wanna go in Pink's old room?" He nodded hesitantly "Don't worry I go in there all the time! And sometimes I sleep in there too!" She said grabbing his hand and walking with him to pinks room. Once they arrived she went in with him and he smiled, as it was the same as it was the last time he had been in there "Do you like it here, huh?" She nodded sitting on the couch "Yeah, I feel safe here." He sat next to her and smiled "So what was bad about your day?" He sighed "Well, you remember Connie right?" She nodded "Your girlfriend?" He nodded "I was supposed to meet her outside of my house at 9:00 exactly but I overslept and went out there at 10:01 and she said if I did it again we were breaking up.. But honestly I could care less.. She doesn't even care about me." She hugged him "I care about you though.." he blushed as she laid on top of him, hugging him "Y-you do?" She nodded "Very much.. After all your my friend right?" He nodded and smiled, giving into the hug "Of course Spinel.." he looked at his phone "Spinel I gotta get going. I'll be back soon okay?" She sighed and nodded "O-okay, sleep well.." he looked into her eyes and blushed "Spinel, would you like it if I spent the night here?" She blushed "I'd love it!" She hugged him more and snuggled into his chest more. He blushed more and pulled out his phone he texted the gems he was staying overnight on homeworld and he also texted Connie that he was breaking up with her. He then put his phone away and looked down, she was already asleep, and man was she cute. He blushed and kissed her head "Am I falling in love with her?" He looked at her  "Nah.." He smiled as she woke up again "Huh- Oh hey Steven.." she kissed him on the cheek "Um is it okay if I go get some things?" He asked blushing. She nodded "Okay I'll be right back I promise.." he then got up and went onto the warp-pad. He went home and grabbed a blanket, a pillow, his phone charger, a hair brush, ponytails, and some clothes. He then put it in his cheeseburger backpack and went back to homeworld and into his mom's old room. Spinel smiled when she saw him.
