it was halloween.
you really hated horror. from the blood-sucking creatures to ghosts. you hated everything about it.
luckily, you had your group of close friends to help you deal with the scariness.
it may seem odd, but your friend group consisted of ten guys. yep, you were the only girl. you weren't particularly a tomboy or anything, but you seemed to get along with guys better than girls.
you guys were planning to meet at your place by 10:10 pm. it was only 9:00 pm right now.
you decided to kill time by playing some candy crush. it was so addictive.
the doorbell rang and you rushed to open the door.
"trick or treat!"
ten boys shout in union.
they all brought their own snacks and were wearing normal outfits, except yanan, he dressed up as a christmas tree.
"happy halloween (y/n)! i'm a christmas tree today!"
he said as he gave you a wave.
it doesn't even have anything to do with halloween-
weird flex but okay.one by one, they take off their shoes and enter your house.
ʕ•́ᴥ•̀ʔっ♡
"hey, let's play truth or dare,"
jinho suggests and everyone nods their heads in agreement.
hui first spins the bottle and it lands on you.
"truth or dare?"
he asks as the attention is all on you.
"dare!"
you say with confidence.
what possibly could go wrong?
"go to your bedroom upstairs and stay in the dark until your next turn."
this bit-
everyone in the group knew you had a fear of the dark. you were reluctant to do the dare and tried to argue your way out of it.
"to make it fair, you can choose one person to go with."
hui says as he rolls his eyes.
you honestly didn't care who you went with. maybe not yanan, because he is dressed as a christmas tree on halloween.
"i choose-"
you didn't even complete you sentence when yuto stands up and grabs your wrist. he drags you upstairs and you could hear the others teasing you guys already.
yuto was your ex. you guys broke it off about one year ago, because he wanted to focus on his trainee life and you wanted to respect that. you guys ended on mutual terms, but at times it would become awkward.
you guys were already upstairs and darkness filled the room.
"yuto, you can let go now,"
you say as he lets go of your wrist.
"sorry,"
he says as he looks away.
it was a pretty quiet room. the silence made it even scarier.
"hey,"
his deep voice suddenly says.
"how's everything been going?"
you could see the sadness from his eyes breaking through the darkness.
"i'm doing well, how are you?"
you responded, now staring elsewhere.
"that's good. i've finally debuted,"
he said, still carrying the sad tone.
"you know, i thought after i debuted i would be happier than i used to be. but i guess i was wrong,"
he continues, holding your right hand.
"i was happier when i was with you."
