Elemental Prodigy - Prologue

10th April 2004

That fearful day, a blessing and a curse happened with a newborn child and the death of the mother who gave birth to him that night. His father, a blood elemental, Hitomi Naomi, knew he had to keep his promise to his wife before she departed, to take care of their newborn child and raise him to become a wise heir even though the death of his wife was devastating.

On that night, with his father vow, his mother's love, and his brother's dedication, the name Kino Taiyo was given to the baby boy. Inheriting his mother's last name, Taiyo was a special name showing the blessings of the sun. In this world, magic is common and there are seven elements: Earth, Water, Wind, Fire, Moon, Sun and Blood. Although only roughly about eighty-five percent of the inhabitants of this world can unlock an element. Brokers are normal people unable to unlock an element.

An element can be unlocked in high schools by the consumption of a special pill only made by the military. A representative goes to each school in every state and gives each Freshman a pill and takes a record of their element. The pill is made from a substance that kills the Magical Elemental Destabilizer bacteria, MEDB for short. Those born without the bacteria are the ones without an element and are called Brokers. However, if they do have this bacteria and do not have access to the pill the bacteria can be destroyed under high pressure of stress which could lead to death.

Those who unlock the Earth Element when consuming the pill are surrounded by a brown aura for about ten seconds, those who unlock the Water Element are surrounded by a blue aura, those who unlock the Wind Element are surrounded by a white aura, those who unlock the Fire Element are surrounded by a light-red aura, those who unlock the Moon Element are surrounded by a gray aura, those who unlock the Sun Element are surrounded by an orange aura and those who unlock the Blood Element are surrounded by a dark-red aura.

7th September 2018

Fourteen years have passed by and Kino will begin his first year of High School in one week. Kino had grown to become a true prodigy by his father and brother, they both had a very close relationship but his brother moved away just last year. Kino had bright spikey orange hair and bright red eyes. He has an average body build and a welcoming personality. Due to the training with his father, he knows most of the basic spells and has lots of knowledge on elements but cannot use them until he awakens.

Kino and his friends were coming from the lakeside when suddenly a massive ball of smoke engulfed the sky. They ran towards it and discovered the fire started at his house. As Kino ran towards the fire his emotions began to go rampant. His father was on the front of the doorstep, with injuries unimaginable. Almost half of his father's body was burnt and lifeless when a figure with a black mask jumped into the sky and vanished without a trace. Kino ran and fell beside his father and cried. His friends tried to comfort him but he was already broken.

He embraced his father's dead body, staining his clothes with blood and screamed out in agony; "DADDD!! Come ba— come back pl— plea— please". It turned his cheerful spirit upside down that day.

A few days have passed by while Kino has been locked inside suffering by himself, shutting off his friends and neighbors. His brother heard the news and rushed back to his old town to comfort his younger brother and lift his pain but when he reached his home and saw his brother he noticed his bright red eyes had turn dark and cold. He knew Kino could not be helped if he stayed here so he brought Kino to his new home and made a promise to his dead father, that he would guide Kino back to the bright path mother wanted him on for it was too late for himself.

Two years have passed by from that event and Kino and his brother, Sergio Naomi returned to their old town, three days before Junior year begins for Kino. He is now sixteen years old and changed a lot during his two-year departure from his town. His bright spikey orange hair was now slick and thick with a blend of white on the tips. His bright red eyes were now closed and shut-in, he became taller during his time gone and became skinny but well built due to his training with his brother in close combat. Kino had yet to awaken his element due to him not attending his first two years in high school so he had to awaken it with the first years which will take place in the first week of the new semester.

Present Day - 14th September 2020

It's time for Kino's new journey to begin and become the Elemental Prodigy his two deceased parents wanted him to become with the help of his brother and the new bonds he makes with his classmates and rivals.
