A New World

The sound of a piano, rich and melodic, echoed through the very normal-looking home, creating a symphony that embraced every corner. Following the enchanting piano notes, a smooth and beautiful voice filled the air. The mother of that captivating voice couldn't help but pause in her cooking, savoring the music that danced through the house.

She was startled when her front door was opened as if some burglar was letting himself in, however she relaxed when she saw who it was. "Good morning Benny." She said to the blur making its way to her son's room. "Good morning Ms. Navarro!" She couldn't help but chuckle and shake her head.

Benny dashed to his best friend's room. He could hear him working on his newest song, but that had to wait. He had world changing news!

Bursting into the room like the kool-aid man, Benny scared the hell out of the 21 year old who was in his own world.

"Have you not heard?!! Why the hell are you chilling in your room like nothing happened?!" Benny yelled, shaking his best friend by his shoulders.

Brian sighed as he was forced to stop his playing. He was making some good headway with his new song too...Brian looked up to his best friend Benny and raised an eyebrow questioningly.

"And what was I supposed to hear at...8:00 AM?" Brian asked as he check his old and worn watch.

Benny gasped as he pulled out his phone, pulling up an article from TMZ. Brian rolled his eyes and read what his best friend was showing him.

"Who is ECHO? That is the question that everyone has been asking. The overnight sensation has been on everyone's tongue and mind since they heard the ALBUM that was dropped just yesterday. That's right folks you heard right. ALBUM. The artist titled as ECHO dropped an album featuring 15 songs, 13 of which are at the top of this week's charts! No one knows who ECHO is or where they came from, but we do know this. Everyone will be looking out for the name from here on out."

He couldn't believe what he was reading. He quickly checked his Spotify and sure enough, his whole album was BOOMING with listeners. The listeners were still rising. He quickly checked his YouTube and it was the same there, the views on his video climbing so high it hurt his eyes to look at it.

"Dude you fucking did it!" Benny yelled as he hugged him. Brian was still in shock but he returned the hug. The hours of work he put into his music, the sleepless nights, the long hours. Just like that he made it? It was so hard to believe.

Pulling out his phone and going to the instagram he made for his persona, he saw that he got over a million followers basically over night. Not only that but he got the blue checkmark too? Holy shit.

Brian saw that there were a lot of famous people following him now, it was hard to believe.

Brian's hands shaked as he kept reading. Currently his account was following 0 people and he was probably going to keep it that way. He didn't want to seem like he was playing favorites.

"What do we do now?" Brian asked his best friend/ Manager. Brian figured he was going to need one now that he was famous, and who better than the guy who has been with him since he was little. It also helped that he knew his 'secret identity' so it would be easy to manage.

"Well that depends, are you going to keep this ECHO thing going for you or are you going to show your face?" Brian thought about it, and realized that ECHO was probably one of the reasons he was so famous right now. No one knows his name or what he looks like, and he was probably going to keep it that way. After all, everyone knows what happened with dream and he was not going to be the next him.

"You're a really good looking guy Brian, I don't think there is a reason for you to hide yourself." Benny was being 100% honest right now. Brian has always been popular during school, and the only person who didn't know this was the man himself.

"I'm going to keep the whole anonymous thing going. It'll be a mystery that'll drive everyone crazy." Brian chuckled as he started to put away his sheet music. "Wanna be my manager?"

Benny blinked a few times, then smiled wide, wrapping an arm around his friend's neck. Brian groaned as he fumbled with his sheet music. 'I've been waiting for you to ask me that, you know. I have SO many ideas. First things first, you need to finish those new songs you were working on. The more content we release the more people will keep talking about us. Keep the mystery going." Brian nodded in understanding. He was almost done with the new songs he was going to release, it would probably take him two more days to finish. He still has to edit them tho before he can release it in the new album.

"Give me access to the ECHO account so that I can start making some connections and start reaching out to some people. I'm gonna see if I can work on getting you a contract with a label, maybe even a live concert!" Benny smiled excitedly about the possibility.

Brian smiled and did just that. Benny has always been the better one at organizing things, he was also the extrovert/people person of the two.
