Chapter 1

Maya's POV:

I was about to pick Riley up at 7 o'clock for school because that's what I do. Everyday. When we got there I saw Lucas talking to some guys that I have never seen before. He was acting weird.

"Hey do you know these guys?" I ask Riley.

"Nope. Don't know them. Why?" Riley asks.

"Oh I don't know. Nevermind" I say.

The bell rang and we went to history class. Lucas sits behind me. One of his new friends sat next to me.

"Hey pretty lady" he says.

Really? Ugh I hate mondays.

"Hi" I say and try not to look at him.

"Have a boyfriend?"

"No and I'm not searching for one" I say annoyed.

Can't they just leave me alone? I mean it's Monday Morning and he is trying to flirt with me.

"Aww c'mon. We could make some trouble. If you know what I mean." the boy says.

He's gotta be kidding me.

"Not interested" I say.

"My name is Ryan and yours?" He asks.

"Who cares"

"That's a interesting name for a gorgeous girl like you" he whispers.

"Are you kidding me? Leave me alone. We're in history class and I'm not interested" I say pissed.

"Pfft." He says and turns around.

Class ended. I was about to go to my next class which was Art when Lucas stopped me.

"Wait up Maya" he shouts.

I turn around and say "hi what's up?"

"What was that about in history class? You and ryan?" He asks.

"Umm he tried to flirt with me. He's such a jerk." I say.

"No he isn't."

"Yes he is. Did you even hear what he said to me?" I ask.

"Nope but I don't need to. He isn't a jerk. He's pretty cool actually." He says.

"Aha. I don't have time for this ranger rick" try to walk away.

He stops me and says "stop saying shit about my friends. Or it will get bad."

Excuse me? Did he just really say that? I never saw him like this.

"Are you kidding me?" I turn around and go.

"I warned you maya." He shouts.

I can't believe this. What did these guys do with Lucas?
