"Why did you have to break your leg? It's boring without you here," Jimin whined into the phone as George loaded another small bar of chocolate into his mouth. With the boys no longer being in Korea, George hadn't been able to fly out to LA with them due to his broken leg. The fans were disappointed to hear of his hiatus but understood completely. He only had 3 more weeks until he could get his cast off which he was relieved about but in the meantime, he was with his parents and siblings, having them take care of him.

The boys were performing at the Grammys something that George had to miss, unfortunately, but he had promised the boys that he would be watching and supporting them from Korea. he was extremely hurt by the things he was missing and had texted his manager begging for them to let him attend their schedules but obviously, there was little to nothing that could be done with a broken leg. The boys had called George every day to make sure he was healthy and okay.

They knew he was hiding his sadness so they didn't worry, George sometimes forgets just how well his members know him.

"I'm sure you're having loads of fun, Jimin." George smiled at the pout on his best friends face, finding it utterly adorable. As much as George pretends to be bothered by Jimin, he couldn't deny that he had missed him. "Besides, I'll be back on my feet in no time - literally." George's phone beeped indicating that another call was coming through, he furrowed his eyebrows when his manager's name popped up on the screen. "Aight, Jimin I have to go. I'll call you tonight, stay safe, eat well and I love you. Bye."

"I love you hyung, rest well. Bye."

The call ended and George was able to pick up the call. The male opened his mouth to greet his elder, but he didn't get a chance to get a word in. "Pack your stuff. I've worked something out."

George blinked, his mouth glued shut. Did he just hear right? He opened his mouth and then closed it again. He was at a complete loss for words. A million questions ran through his brain. What the actual hell was happening?

"I-uh-I-huh?"

A chuckle sounded through your phone. "Just pack your things, I will be picking you up in an hour. And whatever you do, don't call the boys. This is a surprise."

And just like that, the phone call ended. George pulled the phone away from his ear and looked down at it in confusion. How the hell had he figured something out? Was George going to perform? What was happening?

"DAD!" A clink of metal met his ears causing his eyes to widen. Seconds later, his dad was in the room holding a fork and a plate whilst dressed in an apron that said 'kiss the chef' as well as two pink frilly gloves. George raised his eyebrows. "You look pretty. Anyway, yeah will you help me pack some stuff? My manager called and he said he's picking me up in an hour, apparently, he worked something out."

His father looked unsure.

Upon seeing his hesitation, George cocked his head to the side with a 'really?' type of look. His father rolled his eyes and grabbed the crutches.

"Stop looking at me like that, isn't a guy allowed to worry for his firstborn?" George smiled teasingly, earning a look of discomfort. "Stop that, you're making me uncomfortable."

George poked his father's chest. "You're a worry wort."

The elder male rolled his eyes and offered a sarcastic laugh before flicking his son's head. George scoffed and slapped his father's stomach lightly before standing up with the help of the male he had just slapped. Once in his crutches, the two-headed towards the room which George had been sleeping in downstairs. He did have his own room but that was upstairs and he couldn't get up there without being carried due to how narrow they are.

"I uh-I don't tell you enough but I'm um...I'm really proud of you George." George smiled to himself before glancing at his father, who refused to meet his eye and awkwardly helped fold his son's clothes as they packed. Out of nowhere, George wrapped his arms around his parent and held him tightly. "You have grown into a remarkable young man and I know it hasn't been easy for you with me marrying someone new, new siblings, I never took your feelings into account and it might be a bit late for this now...but I'm sorry if you ever felt like I neglected you. I love you more than you know and the fact that you have gotten this far-"

George held his dad tightly as the male burst into tears. It wasn't often he cried, George had seen him shed tears twice in the past and that was it. Hearing his choked up sobs, George began tearing up too. His dad pulled away and cupped his son's face, searching his eyes as tears poured out of his own.

"I couldn't ask for a better son. Never. My son, I adore the bones of you and no matter what, you will always be my little boy. Mid-twenties or not, in my eyes, you will always be that hyperactive little shit that loved jumping in mud and colouring on the walls even after I told you not to. This parenting thing hasn't been easy, especially when I was doing it alone for so many years but you make me feel like I have achieved the best thing ever. Looking at you now, I don't think I did a bad job."

George grinned. "You've done alright, old man."

"Hey, you're not too old for a slap young man," his father joked sending the two into a fit of giggles. "Now, let's get packing before your manager kills me."

"ARE MY EYES DECEIVING ME OR IS THAT GEORGE?!" Hoseok yelled as George headed towards their table with the help of a few staff. The loudness of Hoseok's voice caused a lot of people to look at him funny, but neither of the boys paid any attention as the Maknae line sprung up from their seats and ran at their hyung. George chuckled as they all surrounded him.

"Be careful, he's fragile!" Namjoon warned as he stood to help George sit down. They placed him in between Jimin and Yoongi and Jin was quick to hand him a menu. Despite their confusion, they wanted him settled before overwhelming him with questions.

George's manager ordered his meal for him knowing the anxiety he usually got about ordering for himself and once that was done and dusted, he took a sip of Jimin's beverage like him being there was the most casual thing in the world. Placing down the drink, he glanced around the table with a smile, not bothering to explain why and how he had gotten there in the first place.

"Okay, what the hell is happening?" Asked Jungkook. "I thought your leg was broken? You're on hiatus. Why are you not in Korea?"

George raised an eyebrow. "Not happy to see me?"

"YES!" Jimin spoke a little too quick. "I mean, hah, um-we are happy to see you we're just confused."

"My doctor said my leg wasn't as swelled anymore, therefore, I was able to fly. I'm still gonna perform with you guys, I'll just be on a chair or something. So, here I am. Miss me?" He grinned cheekily.

Yoongi sighed and took a sip of his drink. "Hate to admit it but I've kind of missed your presence. Got a feeling that won't last too long once you start being your annoying self again."

George smirked and threw his arms around the older male, squeezing him tight. Yoongi sighed and patted his back, not being able to hold back his smile. The atmosphere lifted immediately after George showed up. Being without him was weird and truthfully, it was a relief to them all to have him back with them.

Jimin didn't leave his side at all that night and even slept next to him. George didn't mind though, he liked the cuddles.

Been feeling really motivated to write for George lately. So, I did my research and the things I read said that you could fly with a broken leg with permission from the doctor. If the information is wrong then I apologise but yeah, I didn't want him to miss out on anything. THAT CUTE LITTLE MOMENT WITH HIS DAD! Sorry, i couldn't resist, I wanted to add a little bit of fluff.

Thank you so much for reading, this wasn't proofread but I hope you enjoyed anyway.

You are greatly appreciated 💜
