Well, I should tell you a little more about me. I'm 15-17. (when it all happened.)I have long light blue hair and purple eyes. (The pic.) I look young for my age but my sister, Tohru, loves me very very much. Tohru is not really the same as me. I know this for a fact... Tohru's hair color, for one, is nothing like mines. It is a total dark brown. Her eye color, even though it won't prove my point, is a dark grayish or blackish... I always wanted to be like Tohru. She is kind, caring, and mostly, everyone loves her. Not me. People hated me. I was always so.. How do I put this? That's right, I was always so distant. People thought it was because my mother died. It is true. That had struck me, but what really, really hurt was the note she left for me. 5 days before my mother passed away, she wrote this note:

To my dearest Sakura,
I have always wanted to tell you this, and I'm truly sorry to hide this from you but you are not my true daughter. You indeed are my daughter in a adoptive relationship... But the true story is here in this letter:
I had walked down by the river when I saw a cloaked figure. You were in a little raft, holding onto the Cloaked figure's finger. I looked at the cloaked figure when I realized it was a woman. She looked at me in longing and sighed, "'Take care of my dear Kaida okay?
Don't ever tell her I was her mother unless you are dying. Okay?'" I nodded. It was a short while before, Tohru was born and she needed a companion.
I hope you understand, my dear Sakura.
~your loving mother, today and always,
Kyoko

I knew she was telling the truth but I couldn't choke it down. I loved my mother. But she wasn't my real mother. Lets go on with it shall we?
