Maya pov
I was walking down NYC when It started pouring ran. I saw flashes of light and my letter jacket was not helping me from the rain.I ran under someone else's umbrella and when I looked up I saw pale green eyes and blonde hair and when I looked beside him I set a set of brown eyes and brown hair. Why!
"Excuse me sorry it's pouring" I say and blush
" no problem Im sure rielly won't mind because I don't "he says charmingly
"Not at all, we were just on our anniversary date" I'm guessing that rielly is her name and she said that said with little anger.
Lucas gives her a friendly glare but continues on
"Well I got to go thanks"
I run off to my apartment building located in the most dangerous place and poor place of New York City. I open the door and see my mom and some stranger making out on the couch I threw up in my mind and crept to my room and slowly shut the squeaky door, they did not mind. I looked at my empty room with boxes everywhere and a sad little bear my dad gave me before he mysteriously died. I sat by the window and started watching the rain pour down.
Next day(still maya)
I got up the next day with my face cold from being against the window all night. It was the the middle of the school year for most people but since I just moved her it was my first day. I put on a pair of black shorts with some ripped tights and some old boots and a t shirt and my lightly soaked jacket. I peered out the door and saw the stranger on the coach passed out and my mom nowhere to be found, I'm guessing she went to the diner.
I jog out the door and head to my first day of 8th grade. Once I get their I see the Prince Charming and his princess rielly, some kid with weird hair and another kid with a leather jacket. I walk past them and head straight to my new locker I put a skull magnet in it with some small rose magnets to hold up work "I'm gonna do" haha not. I start putting my stuff away when the kid with the weird hair comes up to me
" hi I'm farkel and I like what I see" and he rolls his tongue making a weird sound
"Hi I'm maya hart and I don't like what I see" I say with sass
