On a case by case basis
The thing that the folks say is
Nothing bad happened this time
That we can prove is a crime
It could be most anyone
That would shoot someone's son
Accidentally from fear
After all it was not clear
Whether he was gonna use
Superpowers his kind have.
We looked at all the facts
And we'd be scared to retract
A thing we've said because of
Our GDP needs a shove
And we all know who votes
Us in and keeps us afloats
So the fact that he has killed:
Destiny, sadly fulfilled.
And we believe in mercy
Because we are guilty too.
