I'm moving.

Not just moving but spiraling.

Spiraling where?

I'm not really sure.

Why can't I close my eyes?

A simple "Fuck." was let out as I smacked the ground.

The stars in the sky started closing into a roof and four walls.

A shiver grew up my spine as I felt the cold floor beneath me.

There was a pain in my stomach that I couldn't shake.

I lie there holding my hands over my abdomen.

A burning feeling comes out of my throat and onto the floor.

"Where am I...?" I questioned, the fresh vomit now sizzling it's way through the floor boards.

I want to go home....

An old record player appears before me, playing a familiar tune. Bach? Beethoven? Mozart?

No.

It's familiar to me. The sound scratching the back of my head.

What.

Is.

This.

My mind is spinning in circles as I feel myself fade away, stumbling backwards.

"Let me take you home." A voice echoed through the walls of this mysterious place.

I stuttered to a screech. "Who are you?!" Tears form in my eyes.

Just wake up, please.

The sound of footsteps inched closer to my side, I try to move but something won't let me.

I'm drawn to him.

Run away.

Don't let him take you away.

"It's the stars.. They've brought you here. This is our home."

The footsteps stop in front of me, I feel a hand take mine as I'm being brought to my feet.

"Don't stand too quick, you may faint." The soft voice consoles me.

"Can you tell me who you are?" I asked the man now above me.

"No I'm afraid I can't just yet. It's time for me to take you home now."

My vision is blurry, all I can make out is short hair and glasses. He seems to be dressed really well.

Off-white. Almost the color of a sweet crème brûlée.

His eyes. He can't be real. None of this is real. They're sparkling...

"Why can't I see your face?" I asked upsettingly.

The man looks away. His face may be blurry but I could tell he wasn't happy.

"You have to find me. Piece me back together so that we can be happy again.." I was confused..

again?

"Its time to go home. Back to your world."

What is this connection I have with him.

Physical?

Mental?

Emotional?

Spiritual?

I feel safe around this mysterious man, trust him even.

"Okay. I'll go." He helps me to my feet as he walks me to the door.

Was it here before?

Like a gentleman he opens the door for me. Instantly, I'm blinded by a glow from the other side.

One foot in front of the other, I walk.

I started to see the end of this bright hallway as my sight returns to me.

I need to know who he is.

Turning around a full 180 I ask, "Your name! I need to know who you are!"

Black.

The shining light disappears.

His face is no longer there, just an aura of darkness.

He walks with a steady pace to me and I feel that same pain in my stomach as before.

A hand reaches out for me and I no longer feel safe.

Whispers flood into my ears painfully.

"Zoula."

I close my eyes tightly as the music and whispers silence themselves.

1...

2...

Ready...

And...

My eyes shoot open, I'm back in my room.

04:00am

I try to shake the memories from my head.

Who is he?

Where was I?

What just happened?

Was it real?

There's no way that it wasn't.

My thoughts were interrupted by that same burning sensation in my throat as before.

I look at the mess I just made on the floor and see a note next to it.

"Piece me back together. I'd like to see you again.."
