Bucky lived in the Avengers Tower with Steve,Tony,Natasha,(Y/ N),Wanda,Vision, Thor,Bruce and the others but what everyone didn't know that bucky was mute but the only ones that knew and that was (Y/N) and Steve and Bucky felt safe with (y/n) but Bucky had a nightmare one night and he woke up in a cold sweat and went to (y/n's) room with tears in his eyes and bucky knew he could just walk into your room and get under the covers with you if he didn't want to go to steve. You could feel bucky next to you because you where in a light sleep and bucky a shaking so you wrapped your arms around him and began to sing to him

You where court by steve with a pinched look on his face but soon changed to a more calm one when he found bucky in (y/n's) and bucky was mumbling silent words and steve said "(y/n)" you think you could wake bucky up cause where having a meeting I a hour?" (Y/n) nodded and steve left and you woke a sleepy bucky up and told he " Tony's having a meeting we need to go honey."
Bucky shakes his head no panicking and you held his hand and bucky calmed down and then nodded his head yes and when you and bucky got to the meeting I was about to start do you and bucky sat right at the back so soon one could see them but they where wrong when tony asked bucky " metal man you have been quite the hole meeting wanna say something?"
You could tell tony hit a nerve because bucky looked at you then ar steve then he looked down ashamed that he couldn't talk. Bucky ran out of the meeting when tony sniggered a laugh so you went after bucky and found d him in your room in your bed with the comfort of the blankets around him.
Then tony came into your room and saw that bucky was huddled in your arms asleep and tony when to steve and said " why did metal man run out like that?"
Steve said " because bucky is mute from his experience at hydra did something to him that I dont know tony please br nicer to him he is scared that you would judge him if you knew and if you tell any one tony you will be on the other side of the grass."
