The Track

"Rae wanna come help me show our guest around?" dale yelled for me as I worked on his stock for this weekend

"sure, give me a second and I'll meet you guys out front" I yelled back wiping my hands on the rag I had hanging out of my pocket

"alright" by than I was on my way out front to meet my boss and help him show the guest around the place

"hey boss what's up?" I asked walking out

"thought you might wanna help show Steve here around, we'll be leaving the compound here too" he said as he slid his arm around my waist

"I'd love too!" I smiled

"steve I'd like you to meet my soon to be wife and fill in driver Rae, Rae this is steve austin the famous wrestler" he smiled as we shook hands

"nice to meet you sir!" I smiled

"nice to meet you too rae!" he smiled and dale found my hand before we started the tour

"well as you know already this is our headquarters, all our stocks come through here to be checked before we send them out on the road to their next race" dale said as we walked hand in hand through our headquarters

We showed him around headquarters and took him to our favorite place in town for lunch then we took him to the ranch as we like to call it then we finished up the day with a nice relaxing evening on the front porch of our ranch style house

That night we went to bed and I laid in dales arms and thought about the race this coming Sunday

"what's racing around in that beautiful head of yours?" he asked in a whisper

"nothing much, just how much I love you and how I can't wait to marry you" I put on my best smile

"can't fool me honey, I know whats on your mind. Its sundays race, my first one back since the accident"

"I can't help but worry, I love you and I'm not even closely ready to lose you"

"I know and that's why I'm going to be alright, I promise I'll do everything in my power Rae to come off that track and back to you" he said pressing a kiss to my forehead

"I love you Dale" I whispered looking down

"I love you way more Rae" he grinned looking at me

The race came and went and just like he said, he came out without a scratch, sweaty and smelly but without a scratch.

"see Rae, I told you I'd be fine" he smiled as he hugged me after he got out of the car and I ran into his arms after he won.

"alright show off!" I laughed and he kissed me before I hear jake trying to tell me something over the crowd so I told dale I'd be right behind him in just a second after I found out what jake was trying to tell me

"Rae your dads waiting back at the pits"

"dad? Rocky's here from phily?" I asked confused

"he's here, he got in just a little bit ago"

"alright tell him to wait at the RV and we'll be there in a little bit"

"alright" with that he went back to the pits and I fought my way through the crowd and started getting pictures with dale done"

"hey babe, what did jake want?" he asked as we smiled and posed for pictures

"Rocky's here, he wanted to let me know and I told him to tell him to wait back at the RV" I said smiling before they started taking pictures of him and the other drivers.
