So this is a poem I made a few months ago about my personal feelings from time to time. I thought it might be relatable to some people, so I decided to share it :)
They swirl around my head,
They cloud my mind,
Even when I'm in bed,
I can't seem to hide.
My thoughts.
They penetrate my soul,
They hit deep inside,
What is my ultimate goal,
Where is this peace I'm striving to find?
My thoughts.
Why can't I be content, I don't understand,
Despite these blessings upon blessings,
Life just always seems bland,
And I cannot stop dwelling on these things.
My thoughts.
It's ironic how you can make others laugh and grin,
But you can't make yourself feel that way,
Maybe, I tell myself, it's because I'm full of countless sin,
So I cannot find that contentment, and honestly say I'm okay.

My thoughts, I've realised:
I now know to overcome this test,
"Verily in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest." [Quran 13:28]
