"And She wondered why
He seemed so familar."

The colors around me were bright, too bright.

All I could see were blobs of color, like color bombs exploding all around me out of focus.

But one blob stood out to me, it had warmth to it, it invited me in like a blanket of acceptance and love; one my body urged me to get closer to

If I died today, I wouldn't mind.

That's my only thought as I lay in one of the two conjoined coffins.

The other of course, held her, God even with her skin paler than the white silk below her, she still had a slight flush to her cheeks; the one I had adored for centuries

The other of course, held her, God even with her skin paler than the white silk below her, she still had a slight flush to her cheeks; the one I had adored for centuries.

It angered me, shattered me that I could do nothing, nothing but wait and watch.

I had hunted down the best witches, I fed her many potions, secret herbs, elixirs, anything that would fit between her plump lips.

I tried it all and more, and still not a god damn thing worked.

"Lucian, Why won't you come out and say hello to your sister?"

Yes, my endearing little sister spoke of herself in the third person, what a pleasant surprise to bother me during my grieving hour.

I didn't bother respnding, she was quite good at doing that herself.

"You know, you weren't the only one who lost her," She paused as if gauging how i'd react, "I miss her too."

There was silence, as per usual between me and others, these days the only person i talked to laid as still as a statue

There was silence, as per usual between me and others, these days the only person i talked to laid as still as a statue.

I closed my eyes, knowing she would eventually leave, only moments later she let out a shaky breath and walked out of the room.

Slowly I opened my eyes and climbed out of the coffin, on the other side, her
closed coffin stood taunting me like a treasure chest made of steele.

I decided it wouldn't hurt for me to check up on her, afterall I hadn't seen her for a week or two.

Carefully sliding the lock out of place I flipped the lid up and glanced down at the beauty that laid still and stiff as stone.

I gently brushed my knuckles against her cold cheek, it sent shivers down my spine even to this day to touch her face.

Would she ever know how
much I adored her, or how she still effects me?

If she woke up I wouldn't care, she could make me fall to my knees and I would be grinning the entire time.

Her dark brown hair had turned to platinum blonde, no one knew why or how it had happened but over the years even her long delicate lashes had turned white.

Her lips were still red like the pomegranates she would beg me to buy for her, light freckles dusted across her ghostly skin like a sprinkle of cinnamon.

I hadn't noticed until a single salty drop fell on her hand that I had began to cry, it wasn't unusual of course but it was never welcomed.

Slowly- still with one hand on her face, I reached behind me and plucked a sunflower from one of the many planted pots around the room.

I gently laid it across her chest and readjusted the lid above her to stay open completely, even she deserved some fresh air.

"I will always long for you, I will always wait for you."

I closed my eyes and allowed myself to remember the past, just for a moment.

Her smile... The way her delicate lips brushed against my wounds when I got injured, her soft hands as they glided up my chest and neck to grip my unruly curly hair.

I chuckled to myself, God why had she ever stayed with me?

I shook my head of the impending dark thoughts, i couldn't let them break me, not now- not when I've come so far.

I leaned down and gently pressed my lips to her forehead, I pushed her blonde strands out of her face and allowed myself to appreciate her for a moment.

Soon, soon ill be done waiting.
