you gave me the world,
i asked for your time but
you gave me gold,
i guess you just don't
know me at all.
you gave me rain when
i wanted the sun,
you made me fall when
i wanted to run,
i gave you my heart
but you took it unguard.
i wanted love but you
left me scarred.
we had all four seasons
darling, how come
our love is wilting
when it never grew?
