Hello, quick authors note here, I promise I won't make it long.
So this books is historical fiction. I love reading that genre, but writing is a lot more difficult for it because ya gurl cannot stand historical inaccuracies. I have tried my very best to research everything I write down, but there is the possibility of a mistake. Please point it out to me if you find one (also keep in mind that 'Vikings' is rather a broad era so Icelandic Vikings were not the same as Swedish and different accounts tell us different things etc)
Can you tell I am a history nerd?
I want to make this book as inclusive as possible, so if I use a word that is normal to vikings but weird to us, I will underline that word and comment what it means. So if you don't know you can just see if there is a comment on it. If there isn't you can always just ask because best believe I enjoy talking history.
Different phases of this book are broken up with short poems either made by the Vikings or about Vikings. You can skip them if you want but they all carry a hint as to what will happen next. I hope you'll enjoy!
