/ First Person Protagonist POV /

I stumbled back, trying to regain my balance as I desperately looked around the dimly lit room. There was no one, that's for sure, and yet, a familiar presence filled the room. It was warm and reassuring.

" Conscience? It's you." I sighed, almost feeling relieved. " You've been... awaiting me?" I asked, walking around the room.

" That is correct. You have found my sanctuary, where I have long awaited your arrival." It responded, echoing even louder this time.

" There's something different about you. It's odd. I can hear you, but you're not in my head. You're around me, like you're actually here, almost as if you're the entire room."

" I've never been only a voice in your head, y/n." It hummed. " What?" I asked, cocking an eyebrow. " You've referred to me as your conscience, but that is not what I am." The voice replied.

" Then who are you? Show yourself." I stated bravely, even if my heart rate was accelerating. I was supposedly in the sanctuary of my conscience, who turns out not to be a making of my imagination, and I was weaponless, with the force as my only ally.

A brighter light than the one present in the room began glowing in front of me. It grew bigger into some short of shape, or rather a silhouette. In a split second, a man stood in front of me, except he didn't exactly seem like a real one. He was almost transparent, and a bluish glow surrounded him. I wasn't even sure he was touching the ground, or if he was just hovering over it.

" Don't be scared, young y/n." He said. His voice was the same as my conscience's.

" Y- you're a force ghost..." I stuttered. " How do I even know this? I've got no memory of ever learning about force ghosts. I don't remember even knowing they existed!" I lamented, feeling a sudden headache take over my mind.

" That is because you never have." The force ghost replied calmly.

" What do you mean?" I asked, almost desperately.

" It is not your knowledge. It's mine." He stated.

My eyes widened, and my breath was hitched at my throat. " Your knowledge? This is what Pha Stett meant with memories I never recalled having, and skills I gained so quickly, isn't it?" I visibly gulped.

" Yes. Your mentor was correct." The ghost said. " That is why she has sent you here. To seek the truth, to uncover what you didn't yet know."

" That was her assumption, am I right? Master Pha Stett knew whatever this is was possible." I questioned mostly to myself. " That is correct, young one. She wanted you to discover if you had a force connection with a deceased Jedi."

" A connection? How can I have a force connection with a dead man I don't even know?" I pried into. " Who even are you, anyways?"

" Well now, I am merely an essence, a spirit of the force, but I have managed to keep my own identity through centuries." He explained. " I am Tarre Vizsla, first Mandalorian Jedi and ruler of Mandalore."

My mouth slightly parted and my knees shook a little bit. " T- Tarre Vizsla?!" I repeated. His sanctuary... it's Vizsla's temple. I face palmed slightly. How did I not make that connection before?! Gosh I can be so clueless sometimes!

" But how? Why, actually, is what I want to know." I corrected. " Why have you been with me for so long now? Guiding me and instructing me? I'm just a stranger that lives centuries after you."

" Perhaps. But you and the rest of your force sensitive comrades are part of what remains of clan Vizsla, and no matter how different in time our existences might be, you are still part of my people, just as I am to you." Vizsla replied.
