"The sun will rise after the sunset,

The darkness will fall soon.

I am but I,

Having naught to promise but my will.

You are my child;

Birthed with my blood,

A perpetual seal to make this cost.

If there is nil l can give you,

For this life is hard enough,

My little one,

My beautiful girl,

I give you my life."

The woman paused her singing, to clean the drops of tears that had fallen on her daughter's cheeks, and then she continued

"With a blessing to hold

And a curse to bold,

Heed the words

That call from my soul.

I wish to be there, believe me.

But to bestow this treasure

I no longer hope;

But for now, I can ensure.

This life is hard enough

My little one

My beautiful girl

I give you my soul.

As I leave you be,

Do not think that I flee.

I only leave you this guarantee;

A decree in the heavens,

It will remain.

It is only with love,

I make this resolve.

Upon the vein of your wrist,

A reminder where your blood flows.

My little one

My beautiful girl

I give you my heart"

Her tears fell freely down, till there was nothing left of her, save a few strands of orange red hair, clutched in the babe's fist.
