Jade's pov
I stepped out of the plane,grabbing my suitcase and walked to the exit where my family and friends were waiting for me. I ran my hand in my newly redyed light brown-orange hair,butterflies errupted in my stomach. How will they think of me? Will Emily hate me for 'ditching' her? Has Drew changed? (Jade's thoughts)
Everybody's waiting,everybody watching,even when you're sleeping,keep your eyes open, the tricky thing is yesterday we were just children,playi- my phone blared got,snappinh me out of my thoughts,I cut it out by accepting the call.
Phone convo(Jade:J mum:m)
J:hey mum,I'm at the exit,where are you?
M:we're at Starbucks,turn left after you exit.
J:k,coming,see you later.
End of phone convo
I took a deep breath and headed for Starbucks. I saw a my mum's familiar curly brown hair. "Hey mum!" I exclaimed,hugging her. "Jade? Oh my gosh,you've changed so much! I almost didn't recognize you!" My mum exclaimed,hugging me back tightly. I giggled,pulling away from her. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion as I saw the rest of the crowd. "Tyler? Jaden? Justin? Emily?" I asked,pointing to them. They've changed too much. But wait,where's Drew? They nodded as Emily and I squealed and hugged each other. "Where's Drew?" I finally asked the question I've been dying to ask. "Drew..He didn't want to come. Jade,he's changed,he's not your best friend,Drew anymore. " Emily said,before sighing. I raised my eyebrow in confusion and curiousness. "Well,you will know when you see my brother,actually,I don't even regonize him now." Tyler said in a sad and disapointed tone.
-at Drew's house-
I rang the doorbell to Drew's house door,the door opened,revealing a happy looking Mrs. Parker. "Hi Mrs parker,I'm Jade,I just came back from California, I would like to talk to Drew,is he home?" I asked her in courtacey. She replied to me cheerfully,telling me to go in. "Go in,Drew's door,isn't locked." Mrs Parker informed me. I thanked her,going to Drew's room,opening the door. I stared at the sight in front of me,my mouth agape in shock.
