There are moments when we peek our eyes towards life's instabilities
But every so often
I come across a familiar intersection
And remember how grateful I am to have family around me
Though we may not be close
They are the very few in this life
Who would do anything for me
I did not choose them
They did not choose me
But we are alone together
In this peril we call life
God taught us to love one another
To cover our faults
So too will I
