I really enjoy writing this book! This story is a big love letter to the post-apocalyptic genre. I came up with this idea on a run once while I was listening to King Crimson and I thought "what the hell, I'll write it down." And here I am! I spent a few years writing excerpts in notebooks and on my phone while I traveled to play music or on my breaks when I was working in construction. It took me a few years to get around to actually writing it, and I'm so excited to finally be here putting it together.
I wanted it to be a graphic novel but I can't draw, so I'm taking a crack at prose. It's balls-to-the-wall nonstop action, over-the-top ridiculous fight scenes, and really great to work on in my free time. I've laughed at how silly it is, cringed at how graphic it is, and cheered when some scenes became totally epic despite my own expectations. I wanted it to have a comic-book feel so I've organized it into issues and volumes and added artwork here and there, all with a heavy retro influence. I hope you guys like a little camp.
