⚠️TW:  Mentions of Blood & Death!

✦✧✦

"You can't! She's our daughter!"

"But she's the key to our succes, how can we let that slide?"

It was always the same story. Everyday the same thing.

"Isn't your family more important than power?"

"You just don't understand. Having power means happiness."

Everyday the same fight, it just wouldn't stop at all.

"Are you crazy? Why would you use your own children for your own desires?!"

"Isn't that the reason why they're born anyways?"

I wish I could turn back time.. to stop them..

"How can you say that?! They deserve a good future, Omijo!"

"You just don't get it, don't you? It's part of our bloodline, I'm actually the first one in generations who decided to continue our duty, I won't fail!"

They both had different opinions.. different expectations from each other.. if they only knew that this was the last fight they ever had..

"But why them? Why do they have to suffer from it?! It's not fair, please.. leave them out of this.. that is everything I ask of you!"

"Just shut the hell up! You don't have to intervene with my business! You decided to love me, you decided to live with me, so be pleased about it!"

Especially my mother..

"I- I regret loving you "

Omijo wiped the blood off his face as he watched the dead body of his beloved wife.

Her dark blue, curly hair was soaked in the red liquid as her yellow eyes stared into nothing. He stood still as her body turned cold slowly.

She didn't understand. She didn't have the same blood he had anyways.. so why bothering to intervene? Even though he really did care about Zorura.. his wife.. she made the wrong choice to go against him.

Crouched over the dead woman was their 9 years old daughter. Her messy, black hair covered her face as she looked down at her mother. Tears were falling from her cheeks.

"W-wake up.." The girl muttered, putting one of her small hands on her mother's arm, shaking her softly. "You can't leave me yet.."

"It's no use, she's dead." Said another voice in the back of the room. Omijo narrowed his eyes as he made eye-contact with his older daughter.

She stared back, her yellow eyes full of hate. It was almost frightening how much she looked like her mother. The only difference was that her hair wasn't as curly as the woman who laid dead in front of him.

The younger daughter flinched at her sister's words, knowing that she was right. It was too late, her mother was dead.

Omijo stepped forward and saw how the small kid looked up to him. Her gray eyes were full of sadness and fear, and it disgusted him.

"Now now, don't be sad." The father said in a cold tone, not caring about her emotions. He knew he had an effect on her, as his pale blue eyes bored into her soul.

"You don't want to be weak, huh? We have work to do, Akira."

Akira clenched her teeth and tried to keep silent. It wasn't fair, her mother didn't deserve to die.

She watched as her father walked away without saying anything. She could feel the yellow eyes of her older sister on her.

But Omijo was right.. she had work to do. There was no time for showing emotions, she had no choice but to get used to it, because this was her life from now on.

But was it all worth it?
