        LIENA WAS TIRED. She was tired of the war, tired of the almost daily beatings she recieved from her father for the slightest little thing, tired of the Fire Nations brutal and cruel methods, tired of being lonely.

        So one day, she decides enough is enough. She wanted to do something good with her life, and she wanted to be on the good side of history. This wasn't it. She had to get out. She didn't care that her father would be furious with her. She'd be long gone before he read the note. Quite frankly, he didn't deserve an explanation, but she couldn't just leave with out explaining. Her father was a jerk, but he was still her father.

        It was time for a new chapter in Liena Feng's life.

        That new chapter lead her to a small island in the Earth Kingdom ─ an island named for Avatar Kyoshi. She would be forever grateful that she found this island, for it sent her on an adventure greater than she could have possibly anticipated. Maybe not one of grandeur, sure, but she found a new home, a new family, a new purpose.

        All it took was one act of kindness from that damn Kyoshi Warrior, and her world was flipped upside down.
