She kept her head on the table. It was a very tiring day. Her stomach was rumbling. It's been more than 15hrs since she last ate something. She noticed her mobile on the desk and switched it on. She took her lunch out, while the phone was turning on. The phone started making sounds indicating dozens of notifications. She looked at the number of missed calls from her brother and started panicking. That is when she noticed the date. It's Rakshabandhan. And she forgot. Dates didn't matter these days. Being a doctor was not easy and above that a pandemic and people were not at all taking measures to control the disease. There is only so much a doctor could do. Last year, they couldn't celebrate as her brother was away, attending his final year exams. They had planned to celebrate it this year, grandly. But Corona happened. She placed the phone on her desk and ran out leaving behind her lunch untouched and a faint hello from her phone.
