*Ring ring*

Sino naman kaya yon? I checked my phone kung sino ang tumatawag. Oh! It's Stacey, my best friend.

"Hey girl!" Bati niya sakin. "Where are you? Birthday ni Loreen ngayon, pupunta ka ba mamaya sa Club niya?" She asked.

"Im here at my office. I have last  meeting mamayang 2:00 pm so i think pupunta ako. Ano gift mo? Sakin dress lang" i said while checking my schedule on my computer.

"Okay okay! Bakit pa ako magreregalo ha? Hayaan mo siya! Char! Bracelet lang akin" may regalo naman pala. "By the way, sino ka-meeting mo?"

"Marasigan Corp." I said while massaging the bridge of my nose.

"What?!" She yelled on the other line. "Wha!!! Matatapos narin ang Dry season mo bes!!" Excited niyang sabi

"W-what?! H-hindi kami nagkabalikan noh! It's just purely business! That's all! And balita ko may girlfriend na siya. At isa pa, hindi na kami katulad ng dati. So many things had changed"

"Sorry na! Pero Athena, be careful ha. Wag kang magpadala sa feelings mo. " She said in a serious tone.

"Of course Stacey" Then i hanged up the call. Dahil sa sinabi niya, all the memories from the past ay nagbalik sa utak ko. I tried to forget him but I can't. Kahit ginago niya ako, kahit niloko niya ako! Hindi ko namalayan na may luhang tumutulo na pala sa mga mata ko. I immediately wiped them and called my secretary.

"Sandra come here" i said to the speaker connected to my secretary sa labas ng office ko.

"Yes ma'am?" Nagmamadali siyang pumasok.

"How's my order to the new perfume collection in Paris?" I asked her while im typing in my computer. Itutuon ko nalang sa ibang bagay ang mga oras ko.

"They said the order will arrive next week ma'am" she said while smiling.

"Okay" i said tapos lumabas na siya ng office ko. I checked my phone again para tingnan kung anong oras na at baka may time pa ko to buy coffee sa labas. "30 minutes nalang pala"

Pumunta ako sa powder room sa loob ng office ko to retouch bago mag-start ang meeting. I just put light make-up at tiningnan ang sarili sa full mirror. Im wearing a blacks slacks, grey turtle neck and black heels. Bumalik na ko sa upuan ko at maghihintay nalang ng oras. Kinuha ko sa drawer ko ang box ng necklace na binigay niya. It's a silver necklace with a heart pendant with a cross in the middle. Eto ang lagi kong tinitingnan kapag namimiss ko siya. Pero kahit mamiss ko siya, alam kong hindi na siya babalik sakin dahil tinaboy ko na siya. Ayaw ko na siyang makita but there's something in myself that keeps telling me that i must not forget him. I just laughed a little because of that.

And now, makikita ko nanaman siya. Ang Marasigan Corp. ang kameeting ko ngayon for the construction of our new restaurant. And balita ko siya ang pupunta dahil siya ang head ng engineering department. Ghad! Tiningnan ko ulit sa maliit na salamin ang itsura ko. Okay naman na! Ayokong mapahiya sa harapan niya. Dapat makita niya ang ex niya na ngayon ay successful na!

"Ma'am start of the meeting" pumasok ang secretary ko. I just nodded and got my black coat before going out. Habang naglalakad hindi ko maiwasang kabahan. Hindi ba parang awkward? Ako ang nag-design dahil ako ang Head ng Architecture tapos siya ang gagawa? Wha!!!

"So as i was saying, the construction of the restaurant is approximately about 1 year or less th-" i cut him up from talking. Bakit ala siya dito?! Well, mas mabuti nga na wala siya dito at baka mamura ko pa siya. Bakit ba kasi napagdesisyunan ng Board na Marasigan Corp. ang kunin?! Pinagkakaisahan ba nila ako?!

"May i ask why you're head engineer is nowhere to be found?" Tinaas ko ang kilay ko. Napatingin naman silang lahat sa akin.

"H-he has an emergency Ma'am" kinakabahang sabi ni Engineer Gonzales, ang proxy niya.

"And what is that emergency? I am the CEO and the head of Architectural department so i need him here to talk about things" i calm myself. Dapat siya ang nandito at nagp-present sa harapan. Ano naman kaya ang emergency niya?!

"There's something came up with the construction in Makati ma'am" he said while his hands are trembling.

"Okay, continue. But next meeting, tell him that he must be here because he's the Head. Is that clear" he just nodded and continued the presentation. Mabilis din naman natapos ang meeting dahil diniscuss lang nila ang tagal ng construction at kung magkano ang aabutin para sa materials. I went back to my office to get my things.

"Sandra I'll go na. Cancel my meetings tomorrow because my friends wanna hangout later baka malasing ako at hindi makapasok, okay?" I said while fixing my things.

"Okay ma'am" then she stormed out of the room.

"Loreen!" I said when she picked up my call. I am now driving to my condo unit to prepare things for tonight.  "Happy Birthday sissy!"

"Thank you! Hoy ha! Bawal hindi pumunta mamaya okay?! Kung hindi ka pupunta susunugin ko yang penthouse mo!" She threatened me. My ghad napaka OA naman niya!

"Fuck you bitch! I'll go okay? Just please invite so many gwapo ha?" I said then laugh. I heard her laughed too.

"Of course naman! Magugulat ka mamaya! Bye na i hang up the call, my  boyfriend is here na eh! Bye love you" she said then hanged up the call

Ako magugulat? Bakit naman? Did that girl invited him? Paano Kung totoo? Nagdadalawang isip na ako kung pupunta ako. Kaso baka di ako makapagpigil at baka masapak ko siya sa mukha, pero di ko naman talaga gagawin yon.

I immediately go to my walk in closet when i arrived. Naghanap hanap ako ng magandang dress. Nung makita ko na ang gusto ko pumunta ako agad sa full body mirror at tinapat ang dress sa harapan ko. It's a wine colored cocktail dress. I'll just partnered it with a black heels. Above the knee ang length niya. At mukhang sexy ako mamaya kesa sa may birthday!

Habang nakahiga ako sa bed ko para umidlip saglit, naalala ko nanaman siya. Even though he cheated on me, i just couldn't let him escaped my heart. Siguro dahil sobra ko siyang minahal or what. Naramdaman ko naman na may mainit na tumutulo sa mukha ko, umiiyak na pala ako. Natawa ako ng mapait.

He cheated on me pero di parin siya mawala sa isip ko!

Naalala ko nanaman ung mga sinabi niya nayon. Lahat ng promise niya di naman natupad. It's really heartbreaking when you hear the phrase 'promises are meant to be broken'.
