~CATS POV~
I was so happy Sam forgave me. We just laughed along at the random people falling over the crack in the sidewalk.
I tapped sam's shoulder and she looked at me
"I'm so glad we're friends"
"I'm sure you are" she replies nodding her head.
I just stared at her for a minute.
Aww Sam is so pretty! I know She might not ever like me like me but I think I like her like that. I mean, look at her, her beautiful sparkly blue eyes, they remind me of a calm ocean. And her hair, it falls into a perfect mess of blonde curls. She doesn't always smile but when she does it's so warm and cute. I know she says things like she hates people and she's not a hugger but she lets me... sometimes.
Sam is my home. She protects me...
"You okay cat?"
I finally snap into reality.
I just reply with a nod and rest my head on her shoulder.
Ah she's so comforting.
I'm surprised that she didn't just shrug me off. maybe this moment means as much to her as it does me.
A few minutes later
"Sammy" I speak in just a whisper.
"Uh huh?"
"Can we go home. It's getting kinda late"
"Aight kitty cat" she says quietly, patting my leg.
We both head home arm in arm, we don't say anything much really. It's not that awkward though. I just feel relaxed in sam's presence.

I get in bed and watch Sam fall asleep,
"Goodnight sammy"
"Night kiddo"
