Hello, this is a bit of a backstory from the author. This story is about my great-grandfather and me. He passed away when I was about 3 years old, and I don't remember him. Lately, though, my mom and grandma have been telling me about him, and he sounds a lot like me. I really want to go backcountry camping, canoeing, kayaking, highpointing, and I want to go to every National Park in the United States. As I learn more about him, I am starting to think that he would have taken me on these adventures with him, so I thought, 'Why don't I write a story about a world where he is still alive, and he takes me to do these things?' So, here you are, reading the aftermath of those thoughts. I will be finding out more about him and researching all of the things we do in this book. I really hope you enjoy it!
