Jealousy. CLATO fic

Part 1

Clove and Cato are bestfriends since they were 8 years old. When Clove's parents died, Cato was the only one there for her. When Clove turned 18 she decided she would volunteer in this years Hunger Games. Cato was also 18 he will turn 19 next year. So he grabbed the opportunity to volunteer this year since it was his last year. They two trained for the games for years. They want to bring honor and pride to their district. Their district is well-known for their power. They are brutal and bloodthirsty. They are strong and respected.

(Reaping)

"CLOVEE! Wake up!" Her dad yelled.

"WHAT!" Clove said "Remember today's the day you would volunteer." His dad wanted her to volunteer because he wanted to get rich and be famous in their district and in Panem.

The Reaping starts in 2 hours. She got ready she wore a purple dress with a lace on the back.

Clove and Cato glanced at each other. Until their district's escort talks.

"Welcome to the 74th Annual Hunger Games, i know we are all excited. So let's start! said the escort.

Her hand was twirling around the big bowl full of names of other people until she finally picked one.

"Mhm. Clove Anderson" Clove felt happy and at the same time worried. Cato is also going to volunteer. She didn't show that she was worried. She walked to the stage proudly with a deadly smirk on her face.

"Congratulations dear. Let's head off to the boys." She picked one.

"Ashton Stone" until someone volunteered "I VOLUNTEER AS A TRIBUTE!"

"Well, looks like we have a volunteer"

Cato walked to the stage. "What's your name?"

"Cato Ludwig". "Well then, these are our tributes for the 74th Hunger Games"

They went to the train.

"CATO. WHAT THE HELL?!" Clove said " What?" "Why'd you volunteer?!" "CLOVE. YOU SHOULD UNDERSTAND! THIS IS MY LAST YEAR!" Cato yelled at her. Clove was speechless, she didn't know what to do. She wants to live and stay with her family but she also wants to stay with Cato. She loves him, not just a friend. When they arrived in the Training Center. They say the other districts tributes. The other tributes are easy for her. 1 and 4 will be their allies and maybe the boy from 11. He saw Cato glance at Glimmer. District 1's tribute. "She looks like a slut, she's all girly and flirty. I HATE IT!" Glimmer was also looking at Cato. They're flirting and Clove feels furious and jealous. "Cato, let's go." She said "Yea. Sure, you go first." Cato was not really paying attention to Clove just Glimmer. Clove felt mad. She went to her room, she thinks Cato really likes Glimmer

It was time for the parade. They were dressed in a Golden gladiator suit. Representing their district. Cato was looking at Glimmer. District 1 looked like a peacock. "Eww. Too much pink" clove thought. Cato suddenly talked to her "Did you see Glimmer?. She's so beautiful and hot. We should be allies" Cato says. "I don't like her". They went inside their chariot. The people were cheering. They gave them deathly glares. They waved with a scary smirk in ther face. The parade ended. So it was time for dinner. They sat with District 1 and Clove can't help but feel jealous when Cato was sitting next to Glimmer. She wanted to throw her butterknife. Until she can't help, she really throw the butterknife across the room. Clove, what's the problem?" Enobaria asks "i lost my appetite. Excuse me" Cato was worried about Clove. She didn't know what happened. It was morning when Clove woke up, she got dressed and went to the Training Room. She threw knives all of them hitting the dead center, making other tributes Aww. While the others got scared. Clove saw Cato and Glimmer arrive hand-in-hand. "It looks like they're official" clove thought. She continued to throw knives. She wanted to bring out all the anger and jealousy she felt inside. She imagined every dummy she hits is either Cato or Glimmer. When Clove got bored in the Knives Station. She headed of to the Survival Station. She know it was lame but she also needed it.

Cato saw Clove in the Survival Station so he went there. " Hey Clove. What's up? Why aren't you talking to me?" Cato asked "Leave me alone. I don't want to talk to you." Clove said. Suddenly a plan popped in her mind. "What if I make Cato jealous?" She thought. So she left Cato and went to Marvel in the Spears Station. "Hey Marvel. Can you teach me how to use a spear?" "Yeah. Sure just hold it like this" Cato saw this and felt furious. But he let his anger off. But when it was time for dinner, he saw Clove and Marvel sitting together. Clove saw this. He grabbed Marvel by his neck and kissed him. Cato was now really angry and shoved Marvel in the wall. "WHAT'S YOUR PROBLEM?" Cato yelled "Cato. What are you doing?" Clove said. She knew Cato was jealous. "May I ask you the same question. What are you two doing?" Cato said "WHY ARE YOU MAKING OUT WITH MARVEL?!" "Cato, put Marvel down. Why are you so jealous?" She said. Cato put Marvel down "I'm not jeal-. Okay. I am, i'm jealous because I-i-." Cato said "you what Cato?" She said with a smirk. He felt his cheeks burning. "Because I love you" "I Love You too Cato!" The whole night they only kissed in Cato's room. Clove didn't really expect this. "I thought you like Glimmer?" "Nah, it's only for the cameras" "Okay. I love you." "i love you too." Cato said
