Long lost lovers

I woke up, Turned over and looked at the clock. 13:46 pm. I knew I had been asleep for a while, but I wasn't expecting to sleep in till the afternoon. I grabbed my phone off the top of my bedside cabinet, the screen was so bright and my eyes hadn't adjusted yet. Slowly my vision started to focus on the messages that I had received over night. I scrolled down to find An unknown number, the message read,
'Hi casey! Sorry we haven't spoken in a while... I didn't have your number but I found my old phone and I've added you as a contact, this is my new number so you'll have to add it onto your phone'
I was so confused as to who this was. I thought for a second . Should I text back or should I ignore it? I left it, I got up and headed downstairs. As I got to the bottom of the stairs I could hear my parents talking in the kitchen. As I went in they both stopped and just stood there. Finally I broke the silence,
' morning mum, morning dad'
They looked at eachother.
I didn't know what to do or say...
'Morning sweetheart, would you like some breakfast?' She said whilst smiling at me.
'No thanks' I said even tho I was starving, I ran upstairs to get my phone. I had another text, it was from the same unknown number.
'Kat, are you okay?'
The minute I read it I knew who it was. There's only one person who calls me Kat and that is matthew. I wondered why he was texting me, I haven't spoken to him in ages...
