Talbot Family Halloween

Chapter 1. Putting Halloween Decorations

My POV:I woke up and decided to decorate Talbot Hall for Halloween I walked down the hallway and peaked into my adopted son Billy's bedroom to check on him he was sound asleep but the odd thing was Samson our family dog wasn't laying down beside him like always did but I turned around and boom there he is he looked up at me wagging his tail as usual

Geez Samson you scared the living life out of me boy I said with my hand over my chest

Samson barked and whined softly nudging and licking my hand I chuckled softly and petted his head I had to admit he did a pretty good job there even though it would have given me a heart attack but it was getting close to Halloween I walked down the hall and downstairs to main area of Talbot Hall with Samson following me for some odd reason I pulled out the ladder and the Halloween decorations and started decorating Talbot Hall Samson laid down by a chair next to the fireplace while I decorated as I'am decorating Talbot Hall Jose and Gwen walk in they and Buck and Jose's twin sister White Dove were going to celebrate Halloween with Billy and I as well as several other people

I can't wait until Halloween gets here I heard Jose say

I know Chavez Halloween is always your favorite holiday White Dove pointed out obviously

I chuckled softly and shake my head as I continue putting up the Halloween decorations when someone knocks over the ladder and I fall over landing hard on the ground then if that didn't make things worse a empty bucket falls onto my head

Ugh ow that hurt I said while trying to get the empty bucket off my head

"Oh my god Lawrence! "are you alright? "What are you doing up on a ladder? Gwen asked helping me get the empty bucket off my head

I was putting up our Halloween decorations and yes I'am alright thank you for being concerned Gwen I answered

Do you need any help putting up the Halloween decorations Lawrence? Jose asked

Uh no no not yet but I will let you know Jose if I need any help with putting Halloween decorations up but thank you for offering I said picking up the ladder and climbing back onto the ladder and continuing putting up the Halloween decorations as I did Billy came downstairs

Hey dad have you seen Samson anywhere? Billy asked

Good morning Billy I said

Sorry good morning dad Billy replied

That is much better Billy I said hanging up the Halloween decorations

But have you seen Samson dad? Billy asked

He is laying down next to the chair by the fireplace and he scared the living daylights out of me this morning I said

Billy laughed and raced over to Samson who perked up wagging his tail as usual when Billy rushes over to him hugging him and everything after I finally got the Halloween decorations up we have breakfast

So what are you going to be this year for Halloween dad? Billy asked

I do not know yet I have not decided "what about you what are you going to be for Halloween? I replied taking a sip of my coffee

I'am going to be a cowboy Billy replied smiling happily

But weren't you a cowboy last year Billy? I asked looking at him with puzzlement

Yes but I like being a cowboy dad Billy answered

I know "but don't you think you should change it up a little bit? I asked

No Billy said

Why not? I asked

Because you didn't you were a werewolf last year and I'm pretty sure you're going to be a werewolf this year dad Billy replied

Billy that was different I'am an actual werewolf you know I answered

Or the Wolfman as everyone called you Lawrence Gwen joined in

Yes or at least that is what the newspapers are dubbing me as I replied sighing softly

Ever since I became a werewolf the newspapers decided to call me the Wolfman which I did not understand why but that is life I guess after breakfast I go into my study and start planning for the Halloween party that Gwen and I throw every year for Halloween as I was planning Samson came into the room curious he whined and barked softly which caused me to look up at him alarmed

"What is Samson? "What is wrong? "Where is Billy? I asked

Samson walked over towards me and lays his head down on my lap whining softly which worried me then Gwen and Billy walk in and Samson rushes over to Billy happily wagging his tail and everything

Hi dad "what's going on here? Billy asked

I'am going over the planning of this year's Halloween party "what are you and Samson up to? I answered

Nothing "hey can we go Halloween costume shopping? Billy asked

Of course why not I replied

Really? Billy

Of course I answered

"Yes! Alright come on Samson come boy Billy said running out of the study with Gwen chuckling and looking over at me

Do you really want to go Halloween costume shopping Lawrence? Gwen asked

Yes we need to get our Halloween costumes for the Halloween party and besides it is good to get out of the house for a little while anyway I said

Alright then let's go Gwen said smiling and walking out of my study

I sat back and smiled happily I was excited about Halloween and everything and I was looking forward to it Halloween has been mine and Ben's favorite holiday oh how Ben would have enjoyed this he would have loved it all and so would our dear mother she to loved Halloween and she would go all out with everything from candy to scaring the living daylights out of Ben and I I wished they could celebrate Halloween with us but I knew that they are in a better place now I get up and grab my coat cane and hat and head off the store to get our Halloween costumes
