Dear Charles
I am sitting down to write this just an hour after our last afternoon spent together, I can't begin to tell you how proud of you I am for what your about to do for our country, volunteering for the United States Army during a draft shows how much you truly care for this country and the people in it, this might sound selfish but I am going to miss you very much, saying good bye was hard enough, I almost forgot to thank you for my birthday gift I will wear this sliver locket everyday.. I hope you make it home in time for my 20th birthday , a year seems so far away right now, well I have to go help in the store, next time I write hopefully I'll hear from the teaching college to see if I was accepted... Stay Safe Soldier.
